very nice to see and hear Jonathan Ferguson - the Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK, which houses a collection of thousands of iconic weapons throughout history - talking about the history and usage of the good ol' M16.

Oh damn it's The Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal  Armouries Museum in the UK which houses a collection of thousands of iconic weapons throughout history.

I think the M14 and CAR-15 would be really welcome additions to the Recon team loadouts, along with some suppressed options like a .22lr pistol or something.  Basically, it would be awesome to make the recon team a tribute to MAC-V-SOG

The game's fun, but the audio needs work. Feels quite flat in-game.

13:51 I carried the M-16A4 with the M203 in the US Marines (2007-2015) and if I remember correctly modern 40MM rounds have to rotate 10 times to arm. That said, we were told that rotation during transportation could potentially count toward the required rotations to arm so there’s also that.

I just listened to in game audio for the M16A1, then found a YouTube video of it being fired for real, outdoors (in a wooded area) and the live version was noticeably bassier. Yes, there's some treble on the top end but the ingame version needs more bass. Look forward to watching this when it goes live 👍

I used to work at the Royal Armouries in the 1980s when it was at the White Tower in the Tower of London, before Jonathan Ferguson - the Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK, which houses a collection of thousands of iconic weapons throughout history was there. Seeing  weapons they had that were not on public display was the best bit about the job

Hearing that they are bringing 30rd mags to HLL Vietnam makes me very excited. Obviously it will probably be either locked behind a certain class or a higher level for all classes

8:32 Tony Montana : Say hello to my little friend .

The ingame M16A1 has a post war E type stock. Should be a D type. Front sight is a post war one with visible seam on the back, era was smooth. Handguard are post war with visible vertical mold lines.

Great game tho. Well done.

My 1sgt was a veteran of the Ia Drang valley fights with 3 tours in country Vietnam.  When the first were issued the M16 they called it a Mattel Toy Rifle.  As it was used in the jungle over the years and the upgrade to the M16A1 it was widely held as a great rifle.  Like all new weapons especially something issued to individuals there is great resistance but eventually there are accepted.  I think this will also bear out in the next 5 years for the new M7.  They have already Mae huge adjustments such as shortening the overall length and lightening the weight somewhat.  I believe the second or third gen of the sight will be cleaner, lighter and easier to use.

Its wondderful to see jonathan furgeson keeper of firearms and artilary at the royal armories museum in the uk that houses that houses tons of iconic waepons from throughout history being able to do more videos and spreading out hes so fun to listen to

This dude is awesome, Ferguson is the real deal.

I carried an M16 on duty every day in the US Army and qualified with the M203, early-mid  1980’s.  Also carried the M1911A1 every day.  Great weapons.

When a Brit tries to settle the AR/AK debate. Some compelling arguments. Really love what you do. Though as an American the hill I will die on, I will die holding the AK.

Great that the RA work with gamers on history ..im amazed m16 still has this reliability issue still . I remember hearing of the bad ammo and lack of kits etc in 2000s . I guess once bitten  hard for reputation to die

One of my favourite firearms of all time
Wish the Royal Armouries would have a whole Cold War section

Credit to the marines for the first 3 years of Vietnam they wanted nothing to do with the m16 the m14 was the Frontline battle rifle in the war

I always called my M16/203 combo the infantryman's pal. I actually traded jobs in my squad so I could keep carrying it.  Such an effective design.

The different grenade types is something i want for Vietnam!! including different RPG types. Please make it happen.
