I would like to own a Honda Monkey, but I can't afford one. Brings back all those memories from the 70's.

I have gotten back into riding after about 40 years and I did look at these, but felt since I only have room for one bike in the garage, I needed something more. If I had room for 2 bikes I would get a Monkey for sure, look like nothing but fun!!!

if you want protection from the rain on your air filter check out filterwears or outerwears water-repellent pre-filters

Use silicone spray on the seat rivets and Armourall on the seat and get a seat cover .

Putting large diameter O-rings around the brake housing bell is said to stop the ringing. There is a YT video about this.

If you look at the bottom of your rear shocks, the ring that the bottom of the spring sits in is identical to those fitted to adjustable shocks but without the steps and the means to turn them.
The diameter of these rings is very common so it is possible to swap them out for adjuster ring from old used shocks. The cost is about $30 to $59. and you could find you have just the ranges you are looking for.
There is an excellent YouTube video on how to do this. Followed the safety advice carefully. Big springs are dangerous.

those stock monkey tires are a deathtrap in sandy trail or wet grass for sure

I have a Takegawa original style exhaust system on my 2024 Monkey and I think it gives better power at the top, possibly a little less torque at lower rpm. The next modification will be a k&n insert filter and a flash of the ecu with a Dynojet Power Vision 3. A d.i.d chain and a lighter aluminum rear sprocket will also be installed.

They look great fun. I might get one as a third bike. I am 6' / 200 lb. I like your handlebars. Ditto the mirror extension. I'd leave the levers. Good video.

In for more videos. Got a 2026 600 miles ago. Did some minor changes: rear shocks from man in the box, Handle bar mirrors, brake and clutch levers. Will definably do stage 2 but maybe with a different exhaust. I really want a rear rack but this angle is indeed weird. Subscribed for more monkey videos!
