:_FiendHappyHaunt:Hey everyone, I've really enjoyed scripting and editing todays video so I hope you enjoy it! (I was up at 1am finalising it and rewatching stupid little edits I made)
🤔I think my next video will be "Fixing The Worst Route In Pokemon", It's an idea I've had for a while so I'm excited to actually do it!
It'll cover everything from the route design, points of interest, trainers, wild encounters. Then in an editor I'll edit the map and show the ways I've spruced it up, I definitely think it'll be a video you'll all find interesting.
🤝Anyway thank you for the support, and have a good day!

I do feel like thematically something is lost with Lucien losing screens, they feel like something a nerd like him would use before condescendingly saying "You can't just rely on brute force to win."

Missed opportunity: Making Flint's E4 battle a double battle to mirror his buddy Volkner and foreshadow the ability to face them as doubles partmers

Honestly seeing the Miltoic swap makes sense considering it now makes Cynthia’s team a full Sinnoh native squad (also because that damn fish was the most intimidating member of her team whenever I fought her growing up)

Oh boy, I can’t wait for you to get to the Gen 5 onwards era. I bet you’d have so much fun with all the other gimmicks

I really like the touch of Cynthia’s piano theme playing for the part about her official team, then her battle theme kicking in for the reimagining

I’ve always liked the idea of Gym Leaders sticking strictly to their type specialty, but Elite Four members having a little bit of freedom to go outside that while sticking to the spirit of their type. It makes them a little harder to get a single strong mon to counter their entire team, and it makes them overall a little more interesting to fight

"They don't even have set mode anymore dawg, it ain't happening."
Unfortunately, facts. 🤧

To me, the single most memorable, iconic and traumatizing thing about Cynthia was D/P Spiritomb's embargo.

I was a kid with a whacky team with whacky moves, struggling to get through the elite 4. I had never gotten past Lucian yet, and I didnt know Cynthia was waiting, since Elite 4 implies 4 trainers not 5, and this was my first game so I didnt know about the champion coming right after.

Eventually I figured out I could buy x99 revival herb and confidently went on what was supposed to be my successful run, full healing my entire team between combats. I beat Lucian with my entire team down except a Dialga who had exhausted all of its PPs. Since I thought I had beaten the Pokemon League I didnt full heal my team after Lucian and stepped right into the cutscene that starts Cynthia's battle. I panicked a bit but it was fine, I just had to revive my tankiest pokemon and stall some turns reviving everyone. And then Spiritomb used Embargo. I had never seen that move and didn't know what it does. Until I tried to use a Revival Herb. I stared in horror at the text saying I could not use items. I had to witness my Dialga slowly killing itself with Struggle while that cursed Spiritomb looked at me, scorning me for cheesing the League with Revival Herbs.
Cynthia is very much burned into my childhood memories...

removing vespiquen is so messed up dawg....

19:45 Don't forget that Flint's Magmortar has ball capsule effects on it, making it look like it's actually blasting you with fire on entry.

I felt nightslash on hera was for ghosts

16:25 NO!!! What have you done… oh no I can hear the rumble of thousands of popcorn buckets and explodes coming my way HELP!!!

8:49 Bertha and Agatha are actually implied to be related to each other thanks to Charm from PLA. Not only does she look like both of them, She also carries around a Gengar (Agatha’s Ace) and a Rhydon (The pre evo of Bertha’s Ace)

Funnily enough Cynthia’s final rematch team in BDSP has thunderwave airslash togekiss

Togekiss T-Wave/air slash is exactly what the challenger needs: learn how to overcome

Whoever thought to have a fire type elite 4 in sinnoh, like can we just talk. 2 fire types in the DP dex, god sinnoh sucked until platinum. I love that u added rotom in his team.

1:07 Yes! Finally, a chance for Kricketune to shine! 🦗🎻❤

love the addition of wormadam to Aarons team

5:22 I’d give his yanmega protect, which combos with speed boost instead of ancient power, it’s pretty weak and is on average weaker than bug buzz and air slash, plus you can set up on it if you know it’s coming, rewarding players who come prepared for the battle
