The only montecristo worth smoking is the one rolled by AJ Fernandez the 1935 Nicaragua. The best cigar in every portfolio is just the one rolled by Aj. H up man, Hoya de Monterrey, tabernacle( Aj), room 101, nica libre, southern draw, Romeo e Juliet, Caldwell, punch,  all of these brands the highest rated cigar in the portfolio is the one Aj Fernandez makes 😂. People don’t realize how much he has saved companies. 90% of Hoya de monterreys sales come from the dark Sumatra by Aj. The rest of there cigars make up 10% of sales.

The background is awesome love the pup. And you’re correct the stick is  just ok. Not great for the $$ had 2 gave the other 3 away.

STG (Scandinavian Tobacco Group) is the big boy. That’s the company that bought General Cigar awhile back. They own so many lines now.

Thanks for the content. I find the NW Monte Cristos to be hit or miss. More miss than hit.

I went through a 5 pack of the Espada Oscuro and they were super excellent, except for the fact that 2/5 of them were kinda plugged.  If it weren't for the super tight draw they would've all been superb.

Espada's are rolled by Placencia, not like the regular Monte's..  I hope the oscuro is good because I got a box on the way.

Damn dude. One of those was one of my worst smoking experiences. I pulled like a friggin branch out of it….i had a five pack and only after like 6mos of resting did they get better…overall what a letdown unfortunately. It’s definitely one I want to revisit to see what i think now…

I enjoy la Espada,  its ok if you dont , i still respect your opinión.

Really wish we could get these New World equivelants over here in UK.... crazy that we get bored by the full Cuban Monty's and want to see what else they can do 😂
