As a huge Little Mermaid fan: The ORIGINAL plot of the TLM3 involved Ariel and Eric going on some adventure seeking some mythical or magical narwhal, for some reason. The storyboards were released of a scene with Sebastian complaining about it, and Ariel and Eric boarding the ship about to set off, or something. I believe that while it would have been a bit darker and serious, i think the teaser trailer frocused on the ship in the storm because i think sailing and pirates would have been a bigger showcase rather than just the merpeople. But the short version is the plot involved them searching for a magical narwhal or whale or something. Also since Melody isnt in it, i assume it was more of a mid-quel, set between part 1 and 2. Ariel didnt seem to look like her adult self.

Whelp, I guess we can add Tiana’s show to lost media. It would have tied to her Disneyland ride that they completely redid splash mountain for.

I think the "dark" teaser for Little Mermaid 3 was just a gimmick to get people invested.

I have HUGE doubts Disney would even consider making a dark story for their princess brand at the time.

Fun fact: The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning was the first animated Disney movie to be directed by a woman, five years before Frozen.

Honestly, Disney could’ve just repacked some of those sequel movies into Disney Princess Enchanted Tales, mixed in with some new episodes and put it on Disney Channel at 8/7c under the PlayHouse Disney banner.

The Little Mermaid 3's trailers are crazy to imagine. They went from showing dead pirates to Ariel and Sébastien dancing and singing. I am really curious of the darker story that they were originally gonna planned.

I’m surprised to learn that the cast apology for the Incredibles 2 is considered lost media. I remember that clearly when I first went to go see it in theaters. Basically, the actors Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and Samuel L. Jackson were announcing the presentation for the movie and thanked the viewer for their patience. I never thought it would be lost media since then.

The strobing lights were AWFUL! Idk what they were thinking when they made that choice, but I'm glad they corrected it for home releases

It's a shame that the Disney Princess Enchanted Tales DVD series got canceled. I would have really enjoyed it over and over.

To this day, I STILL wonder what The Little Mermaid III would’ve originally been about.

To be fair, putting resources in to Cinderella III was the right thing to do 😂 A masterpiece.

Kingdom of the Sun (Roger Allers’ original version of The Emperor’s New Groove) is a really big piece of Disney lost media too, a search for it is currently on going.

Oh, I remember that scene with The Incredible 2 movie. My family went to watch it in theaters and when that scene with the flashing lights appeared I mentioned to my brother that my head/eyes were starting to hurt and instantly he threw his jacket over my head. I'm not epileptic or that sensitive to light but after that scene I had the worst migraine of my life and had a hard time finishing the movie.

That Enchanted Tales trailer that starts with "there's a secret place..." is legit BURNED into my brain, i loved watching the trailers on Disney DVDs, even if I didn't even know English back then. I actually had no idea that it got cancelled until like 6 years ago

Man I miss the Disney Princess franchise of the 2000s. It was so fun seeing them interact and all the new tales of these Princess. They don’t even have their own games anymore. They just always appear in Disney Crossover games like Dreamlight Valley. I just feel Disney has been kinda neglected them lately unless it a live action remake. What would I give for a game like Enchanted Journey /Adventures.

I actually saw that Incredibles 2 scene with the strobe lights in its original state, I noticed it changed after going on streaming but never actually knew why. It was absolutely a safety hazard, thankfully I don’t have problems with flashing lights but I know for a fact that in high quality there’s at least a 75% chance it’d cause a seizure or smth

I never thought Disney and Pixar would step into “Electric Soldier Porygon” territory with their movies.

I always thought The Little Mermaid III got turned into Ariel's Beginning later in production. As for those Princess Enchanted Tales, shame only one actually went through. These stories do have potential to teach children (little girls) something.

I Swear when I was younger I saw trailers for Disney Princesses & thought it was a crossover.

Then later I found out about Kingdom Hearts

Mulan being voice by Tara strong sounds.. wrong
