Thank you so so much for your patience! Thank you to @HilmMicah for editing part of this video, I couldn't have done it without him!

I hope you all enjoyed my video today, or at the very least found it interesting. I think I may have been string armed into liking the comic? I've read it like 5 times at this point, so I don't know anymore.

I hope you also like the next video, as it will be a little more intense than normal!

Thank you to Alexander Nakarada - CreatorChords for making great music available to creators to use!

The way that Lesilia was described in the beginning, suddenly running off with someone else despite being engaged with the prince with no reason whatsoever, makes her feel like one of those returner villainesses who just saw the future and booked it out of there.

I will never understand why webtoon authors try to convince me so so SO hard that their heroines are good people and then proceed to let their artists draw them in the most evil machiavellian lighting I've ever seen

It’s like the author wanted to make a story about clever political intrigue then forgot to make any of the characters clever

Literally every Webtoon comic: "See like he's not dangerous because he's impotent."
I feel like the impotence trope is more common than the impotence rate 😭😭

Her scar makes her prettier.

Not kidding at all, the only thing that makes her distinct and it’s the same color as her eyes.

I was reading this webtoon with my sister and she’s dyslexic so she thought the dude’s name was testicle nd didn’t even question it coz she thought it was a culture thing💔💔💔

Well the whole "people watch them have sex" thing is at least historically accurate. I'm not joking. This was a real thing. It's called a "Bedding Ceremony". It really happened in medieval Europe. They weren't just priests either, it was a bunch of wedding guests. Friends and family would watch them have sex. Sometimes they'd throw things at the couple or play instruments.

I regret to inform you, that I will not be sending this to my mom.

I wanted Leslia to have an arc where she thinks her husband and child died so she goes on a calculating quest to avenge her entire family.

making his ex who cheated on him his coucibine is crazy, also wont it make her the least powerful/importent one??

I swear if somebody's gonna come out an say "Oh you can't even handle a complex female character" I WILL LOOSE MY SHIT.

I think the actual most abusive webtoon lead is the one who literally rapes her husband (It’s not ambiguous, she literally chains him to the bed and drugs him.) and he’s written to look back on it the next day as a positive experience. 🤮

Why is it that 90% of these webtoons seem to always promote fucked up beauty standards. "Take this potion to cover up that hideous scar" and that scar honestly adds some uniqueness to their face, or "I have to escape this horrible life" and the only thing horrible about their life is that they are a commoner and not a noble. It's always some shit about needing to fit in a specific box and doing anything you can to get into that box.

Ive never seen a webtoon waste more time than this. Nobody's plan is gonna work because they're all dumb af😭 Zelda gonna win by being evil and mean to everyone bc shes "different" than every other "evil" woman in this comic. At least its so fucking crazy that its kinda interesting

10:06 Everytime a webtoon male lead is the cold nonchalant Duke of the north, a golden canary dies

@UnknownQueen-e6h 1 month ago

What the fuck do you mena by throwing Leslie's husbamd and child off a cliff??

@anzinkies 1 month ago

The biggest sin of this webtoon is naming someone Bonis

@koalaeucalyptus 1 month ago

"He was never impotent, just a little... cold!" THE WAY I HAD TO PAUSE TO CACKLE

@marymccann3500 1 month ago

Just once, I want the main characters who everyone fawns over and praises for their kindness and goodness to actually be, y'know, kind and good. I understand that it's escapist fantasy about finally paying back all the cruelties done to you over the years (major and minor), but it really makes your characters look like petty rich jerks when they abuse those who can't fight back and lord their new status over their "lessers".
