The "White Bracelet" case, which led to Rocío San Miguel's release a few days ago, was concluded based on the testimony of Venezuelan Army Captain Anyelo Heredia, who has been detained since 2023 on charges of "conspiracy, attempted assassination, and terrorist conspiracy."
To discuss this matter, criminal lawyer Guillermo Heredia spoke with the program "La Tarde" on NTN24. Regarding the torture Anyelo has endured, the lawyer commented that he has suffered "everything that can be done to a man to humiliate his dignity as a person, to physically harm him, to abandon him, to expose him to death."
"He was hung, subjected to electric shocks, beatings, suffocation, and confined to a room they call the freezer at 4°C (39°F) naked for 15 days," he added.
He also commented that "he was forced to implicate Colonel Tomás Martínez, Tamara Sujú, Sebastián Barraes, Guillermo Enrique César, Ilian Bien, Wendel Enrique, Norbén Marín, Admiral Carratu Molina, Alejandro Carvera, and himself. Also María Corina Machado."
And that "this trial is a treatise on arbitrariness, a treatise on torture, this trial was a treatise on mocking justice."
