48 years since I lived in Mbro (born & bred, as they say, moved away permanently for work) - love these videos, they are very well done and much appreciated.

Love watching these videos of my old town, thank you.. Sad to see some the changes though.

Middlesbrough is a prime example of wide scale architectural vandalism.  So many beautiful buildings replaced with steel & smoked glass horrors.  You’re doing a wonderful job with these videos Stephen, reminding every one of a once unique, proud and industrious town.

Just love the old photos especially Victoria square

Very sad to see the loss of so many iconic Middlesbrough Landmarks to be replaced by boring lacklustre structures, a great video, lots of nostalgia. Look forward to more of your great offerings, thank you.

Lot's of fine building constructed when Middlesbrough was a boom town but the death of the Steel Industry  and closing of most of ICI was the killer that created unemployment. Dad was born in Edith street he used to swim in the Tees he said it was not polluted in the 1930's , all those terraced houses were demolished in the name of progress but there was a real community spirit as well but the Labour Council dumped the folk from Middlesbrough centre into new estates far from anywhere not bothering to keep folk together, it's all very sad.

Ahhh progress 😢

Well done, a trip down memory lane now brought up to date.
The Seamen’s Mission has place in my memories - as a 9 year old I recall my mum taking my late brother and I there - she was one of the hostesses handing out sandwiches and cups of tea.

Another great one thank you Stephen 👍

Great work Stephen. The town is in decline.

Lovely, many thanks.

nice 1 steve

I travel a lot around Europe, and when I return I notice how much we seem to love knocking old buildings down compared to our continental friends..sad

Both sides of my family worshipped at St John's Church. They lived in St John's  Terrace, which I assume has been knocked down. I don't live in Middlesbrough,  to know if it has or not ? I was born in Middlesbrough.
