I think Violet and her father were the worst response in this film. Mr Beauregard was threatening and blaming Willy Wonka as if they all didn’t just witness Violet snatch the gum out of his hand and ignore multiple warnings to put it back. I understand a father’s love but I think he’s the only one showing no sign of learning. The others showed legitimate concern for their kids and Mr Beauregard was just vowing revenge. Typical car salesman
I heard that the real party animals in this movie were the actors that played the ompaloompas. They went on drinking binges and bar hopping every day after filming all piling in a limousine. Drinking their weight in beer, whiskey, or rum. Must be some wild nights with those chaps
Veruca's behavior was the worst out of all this kids in this film. Violet's dad had the worst response because he did nothing to stop the situation when Violet took the chewing gum. Mike and Violet were sassy. Mike, Augustus, even sweet Charlie who took the fizz were just curious. Willy Wonka shouldn't have treated Joe and Charlie the way he did because Charlie is a kind individual. At least Willy did mellow out once Charlie gave him the gobstopper.
3:24 Wonka is right and Grandpa Joe is in the wrong. Grandpa Joe did go against a verbal command Wonka gave which put him and Charlie's safety at risk.
