Fun fact: In ADHD brains, the default mode network doesn’t shut up when it should — it keeps daydreaming while you’re trying to focus.

Because of you I started to go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 4am so that I could be more productive. I think that's the main thing I've learned from your videos😊

''Doing nothing is actually doing something''. I knew it! I've been telling my mom this since I was little, but she doesn't believe me

Don't got time? I gotchu:

Highlights
🌅 Identify your “golden time” for peak focus.
💤 Embrace boredom to enhance attention span.
📵 Implement phone fasting to minimize distractions.
❌ Avoid multitasking for improved productivity.
⏳ Train your brain with focused work sessions.
📊 Use progress tracking to build focus endurance.

Real example, I entered the video because I was distracted

Hey Zeliha, i would´ve never thought you have ADHD you seem so calm and collected all the time.

I used to have a friend who would sleep at 8pm and wake up at 3am and she was the most productive and uncomplicated person I've ever known!

Took Anwen Reid’s anxiety quiz while I was waiting for my food and thought it would just be something quick to pass the time. Now I’m reading about how I respond to stress and why I avoid certain situations. That escalated a lot faster than expected.

Zeliha your non toxic vibe is what makes me believe in humanity

1) make use of golden window.
2) use boredom as a tool to become more focused.
3) phone fasting.
4) Don’t multitask
5) train brain to focus for longer
(Activation technique, pomodaro) use stopwatch as an endurance test.

I’m a morning person but I can’t wake up early, even thought I know that I work best waking up early, at night I’m too tired

Watching a video about adhd while I can't even focus on the video itself

As a student attempting to get into medical college and having adhd I’ve tried sooo many things to focus and study but I guess I never had the willpower and strength coz I find myself failing and the cycle just repeats itself. I hate myself for that but seeing how zeliha is doctor!! She made it despite having adhd!!! I’m encouraged to keep trying 🫶
Love you zeliha. God bless you!!!

WAKING UP at 3 AM????? SINCE CHILDHOOD??🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡

For the people who work more efficiently without frequent breaks/ get in “the zone” very easily and for a long time: instead of doing pomodoro, just start with one task, and follow it through. Then, by the time you finish one thing, you’re too focused to stop. For longer reports, I will work as long as I can until I start to get tired/lose focus/get restless/bored. That way, instead of constantly breaking my focus every hour to take a break, I can ride out my efficiency until it’s done. With the shorter assignments, I could do many of them in one sitting, or take notes on multiple class lessons/chapters, or write multiple pages of a report. Then, take a break to eat a meal, or walk around, stretch, nap- whatever refreshes your brain, do it for up to an hour. Then sit down again, get focused again, and ride out the next wave.

I just have that dream of becoming a medical 😭 May ALLAH grant me and those who desire it🤍✨

For me I start with deep focus first,  then usually after 3 hours or so when I feel a little tired or slow, I rest for 30 minutes (doing nothing, read Quran - bcs im Muslim, stretch). After that, I use pomodoro to start my focus again. During rest, turning off every screen and doing nothing really helps.

0:23 i already failed... I just came back from Messenger by the time she said to take it as a test for myself. T_T

Having the courage to open up and share your hardships and allow other people to connect to you is something that I admire in a person. Proud of you Zeliha!❤

Fantastic video. My wife has Alzheimer's, and I found out quickly that she had a golden time when her cognitive ability was enhanced. Each day is a rhythm for us, with her golden time at the center of it. You are going to be an exceptional Doctor.  😊
