Hands down one of the best plier based multitool ever made 🙌

I can say yes...its better than the arc at $100 less. Dedicated philips is superior to any bit offered by leatherman.

You can modify the spirit to make it perfect.  You can grind or file down about 1mm of material on the back of the scissors where it contacts the spring for a larger opening.  For the individual tools, with a small flat tip screwdriver, you can slightly pry each laser-cut spring back a tiny bit to lessen the tension then some lube by the hinges.  For the main butterfly open, my new Spirit was just too tight to open and close.  With a small flathead, insert it where the main spring makes contact with the rounded part of the pliers, and slight pry it open a bit at a time.  It will take some tension off and open/close much smoother.  The "snap" wil be less, and maybe some slight play in the closed position.  For me, it can be one-handed open and close.  Dont over do it or the tools will flop out.  Come back to it after it breaks in, and adj if necesary.  The tightness is due to the flat springs compressing too much, a tiny adjustment will make to tool much easier to use.

I know Victorinox blade steel isn't super grade A magna alien tech but they get so sharp and sharpen so easily I always enjoy cutting with them.

I recently got a new one and omfg this thing now is butter smooth to open! The quality of Victorinox is sooo good and now it's even better. The new one is defenitely my favorite multitool of all.  I enjoy it more than the arc since i also carry a folder in my sling.

What a beauty. Can't believe you can get a multi-tool made in Switzerland for $100 these days. The quality looks tip top.

In my opinion if you are a knife guy who carries a dedicated folding knife, this is the best multi-tool to pair with it bar none on the market. The soft steel on the knife is the only real downside.

The scissors are overblown I find them to be exceptional. Any material you cannot fit in the jaws you shouldn't be using small multi-tool scissors on anyways and it's a safeguard to prevent you from destroying it on material you shouldn't be using it on. Regardless it's unable to be changed because it has to fit in the area next to the pliers which is the entire reason why the scissors was redesigned to begin with.

The only other downside I can think of is non-replaceable wire cutters which is subjective whether that's even a bad thing or not. I'd say if you're going to be using a multi-tool primarily for wire cutters maybe consider a different tool but otherwise this is the end game best multi-tool on the market. The fit and finish is unparalleled and the feeling of quality and joy I get every time I pull it out is absolutely priceless.

I have the older one too. was browsing their site today and learned that this thing exists!! the improvements are just what i wanted. I was using a nite-ize pocket clip on my older model. They really outperformed with these changes

I have the spirit Xc, I think. The one with the serrated “butter” knife. I use it every day and always have it handy. I think it’s the best multitool

ATM , I carry an ARC , and a Spirit MX Clip . For serious Ugga Dugga on the Jobsite , I typically carry a Surge ( mainly for the T shank blade option ).

Would be nice if They started selling the MX as plus Package (with the Ratchet, bits and pouch included).

I bought one recently. After playing with the knife, tools and pliers a few times, the pliers head pivot locked up, rendering them completely unusable. I hadn't even used the tool yet. I guess every manufacturer occasionally puts out a lemon. I sent it back.

I had an older version, and it was opening smoothly.
You can find Victorinox bit driver with ratchet.

I love the MX clip easily my favorite to pocket carry and nothing compared to its quality.

Really don't see this being better then the Bibury ive been using.  I really prefer the 1/4 bits. Because I can use my Wiha bits which are the best I've ever found.

Please can you do a review on Swisstool MXBS the large black one. 😊

Good afternoon everyone!
According to Jon Gadget, Victorinox didn't present many new models lately because they had focused on quality control and fine tuning in general.
This video confirms the above I think.
So we should now hope for some really new products.
Thank you very much for your very informative videos once again 🙏 🤝
This video probably

This is a perfect out door multi tool

Got one at 100$ as well. Love it.

I wish it had a longer blade, it has always surprised how the wave is actually shorter than spirit, but it has a way longer blade
