Despite its length, it contains even more points than in the previous video. But most importantly, all of these points are facts; it’s not opinions or speculation, no. I love how it has been 3 months since this video was made, but I didn’t have to modify anything, because nothing has improved.
As for my video that exposes GSC and their shady practices, I unfortunately can’t tell you when it will be released.
First, because the amount of information is just astonishing and requires tons of research (I think the final video will be 4 hours long).
Second, because I don’t have any time to work on my videos, as I’m going through a rather difficult period in life.
Third, because extra info is surfacing every day, like the DLC announcement and the 4th Metro. (The video will also include sections talking about A4 and their games)
I will try to release the first chapter as a standalone video next month, but I’m not making any promises.

When i was like 15 i played CoP for the first time and i was doing a quest where i had to go to some boat and raid it with some guys. I was terrified when i got in the gun fight, didnt know who to shoot so i just hid until the shooting stopped. When i went to talk to the guy about my reward, he told me to fuck off because i didnt do anything! It blew my mind, suddenly this game felt wayy more real than any game i ever payed before.

Don't forget the fact that damage isn't dictated by ammo type, but by the guns specifically. Guns in the original trilogy acted as a damage multiplier for the caliber but even then, that was typically done to replicate how barrel length affects muzzle velocity. Most of the ballistics were dictated by a combination of the caliber and what kind of ammo from that caliber is loaded (iirc 5.45 AP for instance is flatter trajectory and penetrates armor better than regular 5.45, but not as effective against unarmored targets). In other words, most of the damage comes from the caliber of the weapon, and the specific weapon type is a multiplier based off the damage of that caliber/alternate ammo type of said caliber.

The fact above led to something like the AK-74 being perfectly viable even into the late game.

STALKER 2 uses fixed damage numbers and ammo has very little dictating power save whether or not the round it fires goes through armor, or for shotguns whether or not it's a cloud of buckshot or a single slug.

This leads to the weakest guns in the game being the .45 caliber ones.

the missing color palette is such a big flaw, shows how devs before 2013 cared about their game and player experience. Still dont understand why nobody talks about that

One of the biggest things for me overall is just the atmospheric downgrade compared to the og games. They had such a creepy horror like tone and stalker 2 is kinda just flat by comparison

While you mentioned artifacts being physical objects and their movement, you forgot one really important detail - tiering of artifacts and detectors, it's simply absent in 2.

I hate how they removed the Soviet stuff from the "definitive" editions or whatever. Its so petty and does nothing for anyone to remove them.

So many companies bear the names of greater artists who came before: BioWare, GSC, Bethesda, CD Projekt Red, DICE, Bungie, and many, many more corporate skinwalkers like them invoke the names of studios that made incredible games, despite none of the people who worked on those games remaining at the company.

I was so hyped for Stalker 2 when the first trailer came out the visuals were insane and a great art style even the leaked build looked promising, but then they decided to showcase more gameplay and the yellow highlights made it seem less promising. Then the game released and it feels like a severe graphical downgrade. Then the core gameplay was boring with running place to place. I do hope GSC fixes the game in future updates. But, i'm not too sure especially considering how the game hasn't really changed since its release but stock Stalker Anomaly without mods is a far superior experience. Than Stalker 2.

Some points are nitpicky, but overall I totally agree. I waited a year to write a review, hoping GSC would fix some of the more obvious issues. Nope, they’re rushing new DLC because money. I just can’t defend this anymore. Sometimes I wish there were someone like Dez0wave again, because Lost Alpha was the closest thing to a proper Stalker game in a looooong time.

Soviet symbols being absent is so odd to me because all they had to do was have stalkers vandalize them. The game literally centers around the negative effects of projects originated and funded by the Soviet Union, anyways.

Actually the old minimap did alert you to enemies, but you only knew it by it by the minimap detecting other humans that don't show up as neutral or friendly in your minimap.

Makes me wonder if Unreal Engine 5 has some sort of hardcoded limitation on how many unique animations an NPC can have, or how many variables can be assigned to the player, and that's why Stalker 2 on UE5 is so limited. Not to mention the limited and buggy ability to render large open areas in Unreal
