Landlord definitely raised the rent this month

Cooper Kupp is considered "back in the day" now. Damn I'm old

Brett- It would be cool if you did an analysis of top players who were dinged up pre draft, who panned out, who didn't. Seems like players who have had injuries that required surgery don't last, or don't make it at all. Yet they get drafted high.

The world needs a Kollmann quality breakdown of Travis Hunter

Ravens being 1st and 1st in both the chart from last season and from this past season is insane, and you can visibly see the difference Henry makes to an already insanely good run blocking line

Raiders had the worst OC, 2 rookies on the OL, average RBs, average QB's which led to all teams stacking the box to contain the run

As a Raiders fan, I think losing Carmen Bricillo, and hiring Luke Getsy who changed our running scheme from power to zone, had more of an effect on our offensive line not being able to run block well, than a complete lack of talent (though Andre James is very inconsistent and always has been, which is why they let him go).

We are so back

The Giants decline in yards per attempt before contact also declined for reasons besides the O-Line - it also had a good amount to deal with the disaster at Quarterback - when teams know you can't throw, they can go after the run more aggressively, so you're going to have significantly worse opportunities.

Actually atrocious the refs are signaling TD at 10:26 while shavon revel literally is running around with the football in his hands 😂😂😂😂

Awesome video overall. I love the discussion of of OL vs. RB capability in building a strong run game, and I agree with most of it. I think the other factor that leans toward building the O-line first is that the O-line also helps improve the pass game by protecting the QB, which in turn opens up more space for the run game (I know that good run-blockers are not always good pass-blockers as well, and vice versa, but improving one usually leads to some improvement in the other).

I think the 49ers over the last 6 years or so were a good demonstration of a lot of those principles. They had a great running game from 2019-2022 with a revolving door of bargain RBs (Mostert, Wilson, Breida, etc.) because they had a good run-blocking O-line and players who fit their running scheme. But, the addition of CMC in mid-2022 also took that running game and overall offense to another level.

Raiders should draft Membou at 6 to get a solid RT. Then Judkins or Kaleb Johnson in the 2nd. And theyll have a better running game than drafting Jeanty with our current line.

important to note that in the running  gamecharts shown around 2:00 the Ravens at the top doesnt mean their OLine is absurd but it means "Lamar Jackson could run the ball at any moment"
so without doing very much Lamar makes a good but not great OLine look absurd.

Lofi bretts to chill/study to

Didn't have Loveland with a 1st round grade. So Glad Ben Did

3rd to 5th round RBs always seem to return the best value

Brett, we are here for the nerdy math stuff, keep it coming and stop apologising! ❤

I believe, in general, that a good/great RB is more meaningful to a good team than a bad team. Specifically in the case of the Giants and Barkley. It doesn't make sense to pay big money to a great RB when the team isn't a winning team.

To me, the oline is the engine of the offense. The skill positions are like the power adders/ bolt ons. Put a fat turbo on a 4 cylinder or a small turbo on a big block.
