It's amazing that NZ have been such a powerhouse for over 100 years when the population is about half that of London

Since World Rugby launched its ranking system in 2003, New Zealand has held the number one ranking longer than all other teams combined. So between 2006 and 2017 the All Blacks were the standard all other teams measured themselves against.

When watching the All Blacks, just remember that New Zealand only has just over 5 million people.. Such a small nation that is SO dominant at a world game is insane.

9:29 this was his first ever try for the ABs, but he now holds the record for most tries for them! (he now has 55)

All Blacks were amazing in that golden era between 2011 - 2016 ish

What a team

If you want to watch  a full game the France v England game from the 6 nations 2026 has just about everything

Hey Birdy, in cricket 6 balls or deliveries is called one over.
In one over,  a bowler is allowed to bowl two bouncers if he chooses. No more in that over.
We don't say "throw"  the ball, we say "bowl" ball

The thing is, The Springboks and the All Blacks are the Nr1 and Nr2 in the world rankings...They have combined won the World Cup 7 out of 10 times..

Awesome answer both Teams 🎉😇💝💖🙏✨️💫🌟

Birdy check Russell Crowe explain the rules of rugby league mate, it's different to rugby union but very similar. You'll 100% love it

Feared is a poor choice of words.
Respected.
I'm not sure how old this video is but currently (for about a decade now) the most respected team is SA. They haven't been on top for nearly as long as NZ was (at least 40 years).

You should see how rugby flows in a match for long than 4 to 10 seconds at a time. Check out Andrew Forde's "
Most Intense Passages of Play Caught on Camera!"

Next check out Ireland and France 🇫🇷 ❤  💚🇮🇪☘️  3 and 4 in the world rankings.!

Those who have just discovered rugby are drawn to the Springboks, understandably because they currently are the best in the world. That comment applies particularly to people from the USA who are drawn to winners before anything else. Those of us who have been around longer admire and respect greatly the All Blacks who were dominant for so many years up until eight years or so ago. Their style of play is much more expansive and exciting generally than the Springboks, but both are great teams and lead the world standings. Whichever you are drawn to don’t forget that there are other countries who have outstanding teams, maybe just below the consistent levels of those two, but still play wonderful rugby. Just enjoy the amazing skill and entertainment which this great sport provides, which it is obvious you are!

Birdy mate, forget NFL - you must know by now it isn't the real deal. 😂😂

Aussie here, our team the Wallabies is improving but right now the Springboks are the best team in the world, All Blacks are always strong and you have to respect them

Also you should checkout the NRL, the Knights v Panthers game last weekend was epic

Of course, I will always put my support behind Scotland first. There really isn't much that tugs my heartstrings more than a Scottish crowd at an International singing 'Flower of Scotland'. It's epic, at least for me, but you should check that out and decide for yourself. Otherwise, there are so many teams I enjoy watching, If the All Blacks, the Springboks or the Wallabies (Australia) are playing, you're generally going to see an excellent match. Wales have had a very strong reputation spanning decades and although they're currently just outside the world top ten, they too are often great to watch. We have the benefit of the annual Six Nations championship that features Italy, France, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England which results in some great matches. The rivalry is fierce though! I'll never forget one Six Nations where my brother-in-laws (English and Irish), my Dad (Welsh) and me (Scottish) were all in the same house watching matches but we had to be in 4 separate rooms to keep the verbals from kicking off too hard!

The one thing you HAVE to do though is check out the Haka. It's a Māori ceremonial and both the Men's and Women's All Black teams perform it before their matches. It's truly something to behold. You also need to check out Jonah Lomu. He was an All Black, and many consider him one of the best, if not the best, players ever. Tragically, he battled kidney disease for much of his life and he passed away in 2015 from a related heart attack. The game absolutely lost a great. But go watch his funeral. There were no fewer than 3 Hakas performed, all of which demonstrated the immense and intense respect for a legendary sportsman. After Scottish crowds singing 'Flower of Scotland' the Haka is my other favourite thing in rugby.

ABs & Bokke have a weird respect for each other. We hate losing, but if it's to that specific opposition it's not so bad coz you know it was by the best there is. Kia kaha \m/
Btw, watch All Blacks vs USA 😉
