Which month we can trim avocado

I live in Pakistan I have plant an African avocado tree tree is around fifteen feet tall which month we can trim it

When is prune season for avocados? I live in southern California.

I can't find any info on skirt lifting an avocado tree. I have a Hass about 17 years old now and this year I decided to heavy prune it so I can walk under it like a huge umbrella. The canopy is about 4m across and looking extremely healthy. As far as mulch goes, I spread a 6cm layer of gap20 metal under it the same width as the canopy, I call it metal mulch, put it down once never have to touch it again. The tree is looking amazing, has just had an autumn flush so I'm guessing a big fruiting year is on the cards. From New Zealand.

Nice prune job. The top looks very level. One question about growing avocados in socal, do you normally whitewash the exposed branches on top after a prune? Here in southern Florida, regardless of season, we need to whitewash newly exposed branches due to the sun intensity. Same with mangoes here.

When you cut those branches, are you losing fruit from last years pollination?

My Avocado variety isn't good. It doesn't get weight & heat spoils the fruit set in May & June in Pakistan near Islamabad. I want to graft both HASS & Fuerte (A&B) on each tree. These trees are in the 5th year, average height is 12 feet.  What type of graft you suggest for 8-10 inches diameter stems?

Which branches would be more suitable for Grafting?

Great video. What month did you do this pruning? I also live in Southern California. My tree looks like yours. The trunk itself is about 6 feet before the branches start. I think I waited too many years before I lopped the main trunk. Also do you think I can cut the entire top to lower the branches to start lower? Maybe cut the trunk to 4 feet? Leaving the trunk only. Will the tree survive? Thank you for your time.
