I planted 70 lemons here in the Philippines, 56 sprouted, 36 made it to adulthood and I'm so blessed they're doing good in making fruits. 🙏

I've had a Lemon and Orange tree for about five years. Both trees are at least 10ft tall. I have never seem it flowering. I smell some leaves and they smell so sweet like citrus. I noticed that the limbs are full of thorns. I was told with a lot of thorns it will never produce fruits is that true?

My dwarf Myer lemon died with a heavy crop of lemons on it from a fungal disease. It was located next to a south facing fence getting good sun exposure in zone 9B. I fed it various organic fertilizers including urine and Azomite. I almost removed it years before because it waas 2/3 of the way girdled around the main trunk and some of the branches. I pruned and organically fertilized and it was amazing for a while. It was smallish but extremely productive. Watering and heavy soil might have been a problem. Thanks for the tip about shallow roots.

My Meyer lemon tree after 8 years gave me zero, nothing, not even one damn thing so I lift that damn pot and throw it on my drive way ,oh boy sound good not to mess around with that damn lemon tree of course took me 20 minutes to clean the driveway.

Absolutely fantastic lesson in citrus. Appreciate your work! Liked and subbed 🙏🏻

I don't mess with fertilizers with my trees and vegetables. It confuses their chemistry.
What I do is prune severely. It sends trees and vegetable in survival mode. They will bloom heavily and produce fruit.

Cut "Half your Lemon Tree back...severely..... next year the half you didn;t cut back will flourish..... then.... the next year after the cut back half has recuperated and is flourishing.... ... cut the other half back .. severely.....the next year Your tree will be absolutely LOADED.... and will continue to be LOADED for the next 5 years.... after the five years is up..... Repeat the process..... Your lemon tree will never have a disease ... and will last for 25 years... or MORE.. Do this with ALL OF YOUR CITRUS TREES
