I'm so proud of chat for keeping it together for the drop bears.... they are scary beasts. Very frightening.

I love it when a streamer comes across the drop bear video and chat plays into the joke.

I LOVE the stories of the Drop Bear! They are just the greatest thing to ever come out of Australia! That chat kept the whole thing going right up until MorParz said "Gotcha B!tch" just made the whole thing even better!

I live in Australia, I fear for my life every time I walk under a tree in case there's been a containment breach of the ol' Koala Cousins

While the "drop bear" may be a hoax to scare tourists, there was an animal in Australia's past that operated on a similar method. Thylacoleo , or the marsupial lion, was an apex predator that ambushed prey from the trees and whose wedge-shaped teeth could cut through bone. They lived from around ~500,000 to ~10,000 years ago, meaning the first indigenous Australians would have encountered them. And their closest living relative is the koala.

The wolverine frog is the most metal thing I’ve ever heard from an animal.

Lol, 'drop bears' are a joke Aussies have been telling scaring tourists with for a long time. That said, koala's can be dangerous if provoked or if they're scared. They do have claws and teeth and my father saw a thing on TV a long time ago that said every year at least a few tourists learn what the inside of an Australian hospital is like because they tried to cuddle a wild one and it objected to being manhandled by a stranger.

16:37 Well you see, it lives in Florida. And, even aside from the Florida Man memes (which might be more valid than usual, since it's apparently considered endangered in Florida but unthreatened globally) means it has to contend with the ultimate enemy of any tree: the beaver.

The good news is that you can survive a bite from a blue ring octopus, if you're with someone that knows you were bitten and knows CPR they can resuscitate you until the venom is worked out of your system. The bad news is that you're still paralyzed, and if they don't take the time to cover or eyes or close your eyelids then you're going to be stuck staring at the sun whilst they're performing CPR, and one bloke did go blind from this exact scenario.

I love that at the moment chat noticed that Kitsu didn't know about the meme of drop bears, united as one to prank her lol!

The manchneal is awful it is actively removed and destroyed because just existing can poison local water sources. Burning the tree creates a smoke that can blind you for either awhile or permanently (can’t remember which) and may have been used as an early execution method by natives via tying people to them. (Though I’m unsure if the last part is true.)

I love how you react to neurotoxin. “YAY!”

A lot of your chat was referring to Doliodus Problematicus as a prototype shark, and that's actually exactly what it was. Before Doliodus came along, there were fish known as the "spiny sharks". They were called this because they had spines that acted as support structures for their fins. Doliodus was the first shark ancestor that had fins that were strong enough that they no longer needed those spines to support them.

5:35 This little clip has reminded me: I still hope that one day Kitsu and Rosie decide to tackle the game Grounded together. It would be so much fun to watch those 2 bumble about in the yard, at least i think it would be x)
