A team traveled to the vicinity of Finca Argentina, an area located between the municipalities of Mejicanos and Ciudad Delgado, where a former clandestine camp used by criminal organizations operated.

Community leaders and residents recalled the harsh years of the era of terror, when gangs sowed fear, committed all kinds of crimes, and forced the displacement of entire families in areas such as Colonia Montreal and Cantón El Chagüite.

Thanks to the State of Emergency and security initiatives implemented by the government of President Nayib Bukele, that dark past has been completely eradicated.

The elimination of the scourge of violence has allowed families to return to their homes and the restoration of basic services such as electricity.

Today, the area is moving toward historic development with the construction of housing projects and community plans to promote tourism, reflecting the rebirth of a nation that lives in peace, order, and constant progress.
