I love your videos, but nothing beats the experience I had at your July "Move to Mexico Discovery Week". And your hotel is exquisite. Wishing you the best from Northern Virginia! - Robert K.

Yum!  Blueberry muffin and flat whites.  Can't beat that!

Interesting kitchen in the main house under the stairs. I would live in the casita and rent the main house for more income 😊

I stayed in San Antonio the 1st time I visited SMA ❤

Hey guys, how are you two? Thanks for showing off my neighborhood in SMA. All the things you mentioned about San Antonio is the reason why we live in this neighborhood. We very seldom go into Centro due to amount of restaurants in our hood. Hope you two had a great vacation and can’t wait to hear about your adventure.

Hi,greetings from Florida. Beautiful property. I find it mind blowing how expensive everything  is in mexico. It ain't cheap...here in the state's you can buy a beautiful incredible house for the same price.

There is Somebody can Sing ..Volare...❤

It is simply incredible, it blows one's mind how little of a house you get for so many dollars in that overrated  and gentrified place..... I remember not long ago  when for 389 k  dollars you got a real mansion in San Miguel... the good thing is that in  most of the rest of Mexico you still do, you get a real mansion for that much money.

Thank you for this great video — it’s very informative for your audience, Antonieta and Francisco. I just wanted to point out something regarding the humidity mark.

Yes, we always use an inspector to determine exactly where the moisture is coming from. In this particular area, many of the houses are built wall to wall, so sometimes the source of the water can actually be a neighboring property, and that is something that needs to be investigated.

It’s also important to keep in mind that the construction system in Mexico is very different from what you typically see in the United States. The good news is that moisture usually does not penetrate and damage the structure of a wall in the same way it can with sheetrock or drywall. Here, the walls are generally built with brick or block, cement, and then finished with plaster or stucco.

Once the source of the humidity is identified and corrected, repairing the affected area is usually fairly straightforward. An experienced inspector can often identify where the water is coming from and determine what needs to be done, so the seller may be able to address the issue before closing.

Home doesn't get me excited at all, but I would turn the casita into an AirbnB and make about $20'000MX per month to subsidize living expenses.

Where to stay in San Miguel and what’s the best moths to go? I would like to visit from California

The first cafe you went into to buy your snacks and this is most of the cafes in SMA - they are quite expensive. ie: for a chai latte the cheapest I've seen in SMA is 60 - the most expensive I've seen is 120 pesos. And those that are the most expensive are in San Antonio area ie from 85-120 pesos for a chai latte. This is much more expensive than you can get in US or Canada for a similar product.

Turn key please

This city gets so much hate but it looks nice and authentic

🏡 So…would you take this one on? At around $389K, there’s quite a bit of house here, especially with the separate casita, but it definitely needs some freshening up, and we’d want to investigate that moisture in the casita before making any decisions. Would you rather buy a home like this and renovate it to your taste, or spend more for something that’s already turnkey? And why? We’re really curious to see where everyone lands on this one! 😅

Mexico is a wonderful place to visit.  People are kind and it is a beautiful country.  That said, there is no way my wife and I would ever live there full time.   Most crime and murders are never solved.  I realize most of the country is pretty safe but taking a road trip across Mexico would be too risky at least for us and we love to take a road trip.

Is that USD?

About 6 MDP !     Polanco prices

The stain is a big problem, and for that price I would buy two real larger houses in other parts of Mexico with gated comunities, with a common park, track and field and playground for kids. The Price  is too inflated, and out of proportion. Knowing and having family in San Miguel, that is a lot of money for such a little outdated place.

Looks pricey by about $85k.  I’ve stayed extensively in that neighborhood and it’s fine, but not posh.  I will say it’s been a few years since I’ve looked at house prices there.
