Mika’s Rhetoric

I could not remember why Cole and Thomas were so controversial in the beauty community, I just heard that they were. There was so much that truly got lost in the drama timeline in the beauty community.

The 1 giant but GOOD thing Thomas did was expose James Charles' original meme was 100% staged, photoshopped and facetuned

@erika2m16 4 weeks ago

The way people rode so hard for Jeffree is scary

38:41 if being a 911 dispatcher is more peaceful than what you experienced online, then it’s probably a good idea to back away!

I thought you were going to call what Jafar is doing "panhandling" so I lost it when you said "evil jestermaxxing" 😂😂

as someone who was a fan of jackie and thomas at that time…. I felt like I was being gaslit. like when it came to Jackie and the other black creators that were friends with Thomas I completely understand them taking a step back because Thomas spoke to Jeffery and went to his house. but as a black woman who was subscribed to Thomas, I felt like what he did wasn’t that bad? I think it’s very normal for a teenager to not stand on what they believe in a perfect way, when they’re in front of someone who is older and more successful than them. and I think it speaks a lot to Thomas‘s character that even today when everyone is more nuanced about the subject, he still wants people to hold him accountable for going to Jeffery‘s house in the first place.

Cole outing his friend's abuse when she clearly wasn't comfortable with him doing so was so low and disgusting when he was (at least to me) overtly trying to gain attention off of the situation. It gave misogynist vibes to me at the time, because the things he was recounting in his drama video were honestly horrific. I felt sick listening to it at the time imaging what his "friends" went through...it wasn't treated with the gravity and care it deserved. That situation is NOT a clout drama video topic. I really feel for what those girls seem to have gone through, both the abuse and then the stress after.

Dear god I feel old. I remember all of this going down. Shane Dawson has so much to answer for by giving JS his redemption arc.

I could watch you drag JS for hours.

my favorite fun fact about the original thomas halbert - jamis chaneo drama is the groupchat with aspiring makeup influencers they were in was called 'the real housewives of anastasia beverly hills'

@jayyoung7424 4 weeks ago

This pinky makeup look is gorgeous on her!

I kind of feel like people are more willing to give J* defense because they see themselves in him and think “well if he can be forgiven and successful for being so racist before then I can be forgiven for the things I do/say” so defending him becomes defending themselves, almost. The defenses also had a “he’s already apologized move on already 🙄” vibe to it

Thomas Halbert is the reason I STILL haven't tried anything from huda beauty 😭

genuinely, if he was this committed to almost anything else as he is to being a shitty fucking person at every single turn, it would be admirable. like idk man, maybe try knitting, get a life

!!!!! I have no one to talk to about this

Thank you for thoughtful video! The reaction Cole and Thomas recieved was atrocious an sadly reminded to me that people don't see abusive friendships as an actual abuse.

I remember always finding Cole carrigan so annoying bc he was always at the scene of the crime of everything, especially that whole situation with his friend and Austin mcbroom and Austin’s dad; he literally took a lie that keemstar said and ran with it thinking he was gonna get a big check telling his own friends story only for that girl to be scared into silence, it’s been 10 years and we still have no clarity on that particular story; now he’s forever branded as the b\itch that tells everybody’s business 😭
