Thanks Tim , nice update  , very nice looking gp38 ,and I love the Cat rail excavator ... Cheers 🍀

Thanks, Tim.  Very enjoyable.

Clear nail polish on the wheels is how I insulated mine. Great model.

I really like the excavator. Thanks for the explanation of the work tools.

amazing layout

Great video!

Great layout 😁👍🚆🚂

So I looked up GA Bigfoot Trains and, come to find it's not far away. I didn't think there were any MRRs nearby.
Your new CAT looks awesome. For now, maybe some insulated wheel covers or nonconductive paint would do. Not sure where they're available. Cheers! 👍

welcome back from vacation tim... hope the plane ride back wasn't too bad... i get airsick, HATE flying...

anyway, nice update... looking forward to the completion of the carrollton portion... will that carrollton turn have any wayfreight work or is it just a transfer job???

also, the railroad i worked for used SD38s on the hump in proviso (chicago) yard...

they also used SD18s on the hump... the SD18s were originally SD24 purchased new by the southern back the 60s/70s... the ones we had were rebuilt, turbo charger removed and down graded H/P to 1800... great flat switchers...

they had all the best traits for switching/hump service... decent H/P, good tractive effort (they really dug in and pulled a WHOLE LOTTA weight), six axles, brake shoes on both sides of EVERY wheel... the BEST switching motors i ever worked with

Ive always wondered why the high hoods always had a horn at each end instead of just 1 like all the other locomotives u see. Why the 2 horns?

Hey buddy, it may be my phone bit I'm struggling to hear your voice over the locos sometimes.
