“Coming of age”
Look inside
No character change

Rich kid fantasizing about being poor with an obvious self insert: the game.

Cassandra's parent's are the game's villains because they don't want their teenage daughter endangering herself to be cool for her friend that hates her

“DADDY I’m going to BURN THE FOREST DOWN”

“Ok see you at home”

Game called “Mixtape” that wouldn’t dare to touch Hip-Hop with a 50 foot pole

>"I'm a huge music nerd"
>look inside
>its all pop culture licensed music

you know how it's bad? pirates are saying it's not worth pirating. that is possibly the worst insult you can get as a game.

why tf are her headphones cordless in this game that forces you to rewind a tape by hand when you have a perfectly good cassette player right there with a rewind button

The characters are supposed to be teenagers living in California in the 90s, and you're telling me they don't listen to any hip-hop or rap???

These kids look like hipsters from the 2010s dressed up for 90s day during spirit week.

when i played Night in the Woods i was constantly saying to myself, "god i wish the characters were uninteresting and nothing happened and mae was constantly rattling on about her pretentious music taste", thank god we have Mixtape

Mixtape is just a rejected netflix series made into a video"game"

>”Indie Game”
>Looks inside
>Created by a billion dollar corporation

Self centered character that’s somehow in the right, right about basically everything,  it’s 100% a self insert.

Why is media obsessed with portraying high school characters as having to do crime and be delinquents to show them as being "free" or "adults"? Some of us were just trying to get good grades and not do drugs. Like, why does the game seem to be like, "See, if Cassandra doesn't do crime, she's a boring person." or "You can be autistic but not the BORING kind. You HAVE to be a criminal too." Like, who WROTE this.

Honestly Stacy didn't even need to get better, itd be just as interesting if she actually got worse and actually had to face the consequences of making herself worse

Stacy seems like the type of friend to get you drunk after an AA meeting because "Don't let them tell you you're addicted" or "You're more fun drunk"

A yes the good old "The writter agrees with the worst person in the room while everyone else is sane at first but end up agreeing with them at the end"

Which really tells you everything you need to know about whoever wrote this

"i could be replaying night in the woods right now"
