Our Veteran's are sleeping rough in the streets, many disabled, they've been well & truly shafted by numerous British Governments & the MOD. It's a disgrace the way they've been treated & & forgotten.

I'm American and obviously love our military but have always had huge respect for thr British military and always have felt proud since I was little that our nations are such close allies

I had a friend who passed away in Afghanistan due to an IED. As a welsh man we are hugely proud of the lads and ladies in the military and thank everyone of them for their service. Heroes them all 👍🏼

Having served several years with British forces - if you see chevrons on their sleeves or ribbons on their chest they've walked the walk and talked the talk. They don't get them handed out for showing up on time like we do.

I recall a group of 75 or so Britishsoldiers in either South Africa or Rhodesia were surrounded by a mob of 10k or more angry black rioters. The troops formed into a wedge formation, fixed bayonets, and charged.The mob melted away before them. All the troops made it out.

Balls of steel to go with the Sheffield steel! The bayonet is an essential tool even today. In terms of training, bayonet training instils aggression and confidence. A very well earned MC. RESPECT.

The British armed forces have carried out a couple of bayonet charges during the conflict, not a standard tactic, only used when proper dire situations.

The bayonet is a great tool for the British soldier is trained to use it in many ways and I'm glad we're still issued it. If your weapon jams will you run out of ammunition trust me you'll be glad you got it.👍

There was a classic British tv comedy called Dads Army, one of the main characters was Cpl Jones who was always keen to fix bayonets and the catch phrase was ‘they don’t like it up ‘em!’
This real Cpl Jones is definitely a hero!

What more can one say about Corporal Sean Jones? The man is a soldier! The British Empire was forged at bayonet point, not because they were a bunch of nice guys! Sean Jones' ancestors are proud of him! Great video, brother!

As a civilian, non-military veteran of John Wayne movies, stationed in FOB Fat Ass On The Sofa, "Fix Bayonets," makes me charge into the kitchen for another sandwich.
