Guys, what a night! In this episode of "The George Harris Show," we're treated to an hour and a half of pure catharsis, laughter, uncomfortable truths, and lots and lots of social observation. What's happening with parenting these days? Why do kids today have more diagnoses than personalities? Here we talk unfiltered about all the things you love: the difference between how we were raised in Latin America and how Americans are raising their kids with so much psychology, so much "my love," and zero discipline. Oh no, my love! That's not how you build character.
We started as always, greeting the audience, who came from all over: Iceland, Colombia, Los Angeles, Tariba, and even from the Tuy Valley, man. Then we went straight to the topic of school vacations and the existential stress of parents in the United States, who don't know what to do with their kids because here there are no grandmothers, no aunts, no one to put up with your children for a little while. Here, everyone's on their own!
We also talked about violence then versus violence now, because before, you solved things with a good old-fashioned beating and that was it. Now, no, now it's all "I'll sue you," "I'll traumatize you," "you'll hear about this in therapy." Good grief! I also share my opinion on modern diagnostics like HDVIP, USB, and HDMI, because now every kid comes with a medical label. And you know why? Because parents were all tripping in the 2000s, smoking, doing drugs, and now kids are born with a thirst for revenge.
Then we talk about the cool girls who point north, the Ariel-white teeth, and how some people want to be 80 and still look 25. Folks, the only way to not age is to die, so be grateful for your wrinkles, your gray hair, and your little balls floating in the pool. That's living too!
And of course, I couldn't leave out my analysis of international politics, the silent wars of the gringos, the military might of the United States that acts without warning, and how that contrasts with us Latinos, who need 17 meetings, a letter that never arrives, and a bunch of speeches to solve a problem. It's just not right!
And to top it all off, we talked about the hell that can be living in a Florida condo, where they hit you with a "special assessment" and you end up starting an OnlyFans to pay the security guard's fee. It's crazy!
