Americans look down on people with low wage jobs.
Europeans look down on companies paying their staff low wages.

Treating your workers like they do in the US would be illegal in any European country.

You in the US have heard so much propaganda that if someone wants to do something for people, someone shouts SOCALISM and the discussion is closed.

It's called Social Democracy - a capitalistic society with social knowledge and responsibility.

The United States is like the Titanic. Too big to turn, too slow to react, in denial about sinking, and there aren't enough lifeboats for every passenger except the 1% ultra rich.

“Benefits” ? Hahahaha
For us in Europe they are Rights

Sweden here. I have never had to work more than 1 job to make ends meet and i own my house. I am a truck driver. I got 8 paid vacation weeks last year. I happily pay taxes because i know what i get from it.

I saw it and left America when I was 20. I am now 65 and I miss nothing but maybe some of my family. Life has been so much better for me here in Europe.

The moment you live in a country where you need to pay to call for an ambulance and you need health insurance to get treated, you are not in the best country in the world.😁🔥

Croatia here. We aren’t a rich country, but we work 40 hours a week, one job, we have universal healthcare, 52 weeks of paid maternity leave and minimum 20 days paid vacation. By law you have to go to vacation or the company needs to pay those days to you if you dont use all days. We are among the safest countries in the world, you can walk in 3am anywhere without fear that someone will mug or shoot you, we love drinking coffee and enjoy life even if the cost of living has gotten pretty high since 2020, we still enjoy life and work life balance is great.

Seems slavery never went away in the U.S. They just gave you a slightly better wage.

The young men on this video said give American workers benefits, here in the UK and Europe they are rights.

UK here. Contracted to a 35 hr week. 38 days annual leave. If I were to be sick, six months full pay with a doctor’s Cert and the following six months on half pay.

Greetings from Finland. For 8 years in a row, the happiest country in the world. There are many videos on YouTube that tell how we have taken care of healthcare, education, social security, occupational health and safety. National defense, etc.
Although taxes are high. But there are very few homeless and marginalized people. After watching your video, I wonder how workers tolerate such wage levels. I guess slavery still hasn't gone away in the USA?

American dream - you have to be asleep to believe it.

This is both disturbing and deeply fascinating. Not because we in Sweden have a flawless system — far from it — but when you place the U.S. side by side with other countries, the contrast becomes painfully clear. “Land of the Free”? Maybe, if you’ve got good credit, private insurance, and the stamina to survive a machine designed more to extract than to protect.

What truly stands out is greed — not just as a personal trait, but as the system’s core operating principle. When healthcare, education, housing, even prisons are run for profit, something essential begins to corrode. It’s not that Americans are inherently greedier — many are waking up and pushing back — but the system is engineered to reward those who exploit others with maximum efficiency and minimum conscience.

And that same structure — this “profit before people” mindset — is now seeping into Europe too. In Sweden, we’ve started to see the cracks as well:
Privately-run schools funded by public money, private healthcare siphoning resources from the public sector, and growing gaps between rich and poor. The welfare state was built to protect everyone — not to become a playground for private capital using tax money to generate profit. We’d be naïve to think we’re immune.

Because here’s the part no one wants to say out loud:
A humane society isn’t free. It’s paid for — with taxes, trust, and political will.
But that cost is an investment in people — not a burden.
And if the alternative is a society where everything is monetized, where the poor are punished for existing, and basic rights are treated like luxury items — then that’s not freedom. That’s just decay in a shiny package.

Humanity must always come first.
Without it, no society can truly thrive — only survive. And barely at that.
Because survival without dignity isn’t freedom. It’s slow, sanctioned suffering — with a price tag.

PS: Can we just talk about how absurd it is that in parts of the U.S., healthcare is still seen as a privilege? That’s like selling fire extinguishers after the house is already on fire — and giving loyalty discounts to the rich.

The even crazier thing is that all of these are bipartisan issues in Europe. We all agree on workers rights.

"The French are lazy" spoken like true capitalist Americans. No, the French aren't lazy - they stand up for their rights because they have the work-life balance right.

I worked in many countries... most of them in Europe... but I also worked 2 years in USA... let me just say this: everything this guy said in the video is 100% correct... so many americans are brainwashed into believing they are the best and they are in the center of the universe... those 2 years, I broke my back (figuratively speaking) woking there... people say you win a lot of money in US... but thats true if you got the connections... if you already are a succesfull buisnessman... cause, if you wanna start from scratch, you are barely above slavery... there is a reason people say: "in america you live to work"... because all it comes down to is you beeing able to work... for hours on end... almost all low skill jobs dont offer benefits... everything is expensive as hell... housing, utilities, education and of course healthcare... you dont get payed vacation, no payed parental leave... and you barely make enough to get by... the food is also close to poisonous... and its on purpose... they want you to get sick... those hospital bills must be paid one way or another...
After 2 years of hell that I went through I had enough, and returned back home... now I work in Netherlands... I work an average of 8h a day, 5 days a week, I make cvadruple (or 4X times) the money I made in US, and I also have 31 payed vacation days and holidays... and also I have up to 12 weeks medical leave in case of an medical emergency... and that's also covered up the taxes I pay towards the state... yeah healthcare is basicly free... americans pay taxes even more then europeans, but in europe healthcare is covered by those taxes, in US its not... the goverment is taxing the living hell out of the american people and they give nothing in return... no healthcare, no free education, no infrastructure... nothing... those taxes are really going straight into the pockets of the "well connected"... aka the ultra rich...
Also I dont have to see guns everywhere, drugs or police brutality... Overall, there isnt really any comparisson to the US... life here is simpy on another level... thats like comparring a Bugatti Chiron to an old beat up Chhevy Tahoe...
I really feel sad for all hard working american people... their goverment doesnt give a rat's asss about them and most of them are defending that cancerous system... and now Trump is most likely gonna ruin everything... when he says tarrifs, its just another way to milk the population dry... and they dont see that... thats sad 😢...

You poor people have no clue how badly you are treated.  And if you try to go overseas and work.  Despite the fact you’re not using any American infrastructure etc., you still have to pay taxes not only to the government of the country you’re living and working in. The American government compels you to pay taxes to them as well from your overseas income.  And you all think that’s normal.  IT’S NOT!
