Nicely done on the review. A lens I would like to own and maybe I will add to my bag soon. I may have to rent one for a few days to give it a try. Tfs

Very good review. I own bothe the 40-150/f2.8 and the 50-200/f2.8. I have used the 40-150 for a decade and it is a very good lens. The 50-200 is better and I am pleased I upgraded to it. I do wish it had strap eyelets.

Great advice, well illustrated. No surprise when AF is excellent on an f/2.8 lens. (For AF-S, the camera opens up momentarily to the widest aperture to increase AF accuracy. For AF-C, it uses the aperture you're shooting at. In both modes, f/2.8 offers a big AF advantage.) I agree with another recent commenter who noted that a weak point of your videos is that you do not (yet😀) make a habit of zooming each displayed image to a well-known magnification -- a magnification that is likely to give meaningful info on a range of monitors, like 200%. The series of bird photos beginning at 18:54 is a good example of this problem. Cheers.

Hi Wayne, enjoyed your review. I switched to M43 and I enjoy travel, landscape and small amount of wildlife. The 50-200 is great but I also bought the 40-150 afterwards because I felt the 50-200 was too big to pack on an air travel trip.

Hi Wayne, great video, thank you. I have never tried Micro Four Thirds, but it looks appealing as I get older. Regarding weight, your images look fantastic. Did you miss out on much compared to full-frame? Thank you

Have just purchased this lens along with the OM 1 mk2 have been finding birds I the distance are not quite sharp I use the small square and bird detection but the green dot jumps in and out of the square, any idea I also use the 1.4 converter. Thanks
