Love the format today

Guys, please consider this: Johnny's volume is so much louder than Colby's that when he talks over Colby, we can't hear all of Colby's thought. I'm not saying Johnny is trying to dispute what Colby is saying, he just can't seem to stop himself from affirming or being defensive or correcting. Colby can definitely hold his own, I'm not saying Johnny is Alpha. I'm just saying he's louder and dominates what I can hear when you're both talking.

This episode made me go from sometimes watcher to an everyday watcher. Effing awesome show

Edit: Sorry, I got my stuff wrong that's what Flordia offered for Hellebuyck.

Im not even a Detroit fan-im Colorado fan. But ive watched a lot of different Detroit area Red Wing pods lately cuz its interesting whats going on. And its just shocking to see our former rivals-who used to be the model franchise,& the Avs were #2 when I was in my late teens,& 20s-turn into a complete & embarrassing disaster. And it seems Johnny has a much better idea of whats going on in Detroit while Colby is clueless,& trying to shill for the owner.l& basically just guessing at things he seems pretty ignorant on. Im no Red Wing expert but didnt take alot of research for me to learn several things Colby doesnt seem to know. The media,& fans  in Detroit seem pretty certain ownership did forbid Yzerman from signing Stampkos cuz they didnt want to pay. And this isnt to say Yzerman is blamelesss. He clearly made mistakes.More than 1 thing can be true at same time,& I can even understand firing him.

But not hiring even an interim til when they did was ridiculous. They literally asked teams for permission to interview guys they never ended up talking to. The 3rd class circus theyve been since Yzerman left just a few months ago proves what a joke their ownership is. All ya have to do is watch a few Red Wing pods to get educated on a few things that Colby clearly doesnt know. Edvinson paid for his own insurance to go to camp,& wanted to be there but cuz they insulted him with their offer theyve actually soured him,& fucked up the layup it was to resign him.Larkins situation is way different but not resigning their young,& 2nd best dman is indefensible. The rare guy who wanted to stay in Detroit & resign for max term-all of which would be in his prime. They didnt even want to give him close to what Bium signed for-despite having the most cap space in the nhl,the cap going up,& they are not at all a destination team anymore.

The vibes are good with the Jets. KFC looks like he's using the Hellebuyck request to motivate himself to 50, we have Bauer wrecking faces, and we're actually playing and trusting younger players. So much more exciting than last year. And Viggo. How can you be upset when you have Viggo.

The guy in the black has no idea about Detroit and this situation. Go look up how many of these guys live in metro Detroit. A ton of the top guys in the league are here or practice here. The owner is the single biggest reason for the issue now with the news coming out in the past months about Stamkos and now the problem with Ed not getting signed.

Knies=the new John LeClair. Look what LeClair did when he went from Montreal to Philadelphia.

Edvinsson is just using this tactic as leverage to get a bigger contract from Detroit imo

The dude in the blue hoodie has a far better grasp on the Detroit situation than guy on the right. From my pov anyway. I've watched the wings since '84 or something, when Red Wings hockey was just fights and losses.  "The Dead Wings"

The scouting staff that was let go was one of the best, and they cost a lot of money. The stingy purse string noise has ben around Chris Illitch for years.

Good for Kyle Connor I hope he wins in Winnipeg

I think there are issues where all of these things are true, but there is certainly issues in the fact that no one has any idea what’s going on. They do need to be slightly more transparent. Chris is a poor owner, I think Stevie had a bad grasp on the current NHL. I just feel bad for the players and the only leadership person I believe at all is Todd McClellan.

I watch every Canucks game and I can tell you that Marcus Pettersson is a 7/10 on making a first pass

Hard to listen to someone who thinks he is always 10000% right. Annoying.

Frondell: not best as a center.

Of course you can only talk about what weve seen so far. But that doesnt mean its wise to make grand pronouncements & come to absolute determinations after 2 or 3 games. Colby is declaring contracts as successes after 3 games in Anaheim,& borderline changing preseason predictions over 3% of this years regular season schedule. Thats ridiculous & way premature, reactionary, prisoner of a moment bs. Its just as dumb as the Philly fans you rightly criticize who want to fire their coach or gm after 3 games.

The whole Knies thing comes down to the fact that he had no trade protection! Let’s be honest here the Leafs are not a good team! Politics has nothing to with it! 99% of Canadians wouldn’t play in Toronto

Tocchet is notorious for missing the playoffs after making it.

I love hearing him in interviews, but I've always thought he was an overrated coach with a track record that proves it.

Edvinsson is using this as negotiating tactic . I bet he resign with Detroit for a big number
