This song helped my daughter reconnect and pull herself out of severe depression/suicide attempt/drug and cutting addiction (the darkest time of her life) and was our mantra... that was over 16 years ago... she has been clean ever since and I thank God every day that I was able to get through and reach her in time to help.... still one of our favorite songs!!!

Death Cab for Cutie: Soul Meets Body

My son Iain died because of mental illness. We chose this song to play at his funeral.
He tried so hard, but didn’t succeed, he got what he wanted but not what he needed.
And I DID try to fix him! It’s as if it was almost written just for him!
The most sad, yet beautiful song ever! 💔

Coldplay is one of the best bands to see in concert great band.

Coldplay was my go to when I was recovering from a divorce.

My thoughts are that I go into the ugly cry every single time I hear this song because it is what I felt about my dad.  For real, my dad is gone and I would have done anything to save him.  It broke my soul. "When you lose something you can't replace."

Heartache in audio. One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Mid 90's east coast hip hop fan here.

I took my newly graduated daughter to her first concert to see Coldplay open their tour in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl. I was in tears at times watching the joy in her eyes as she sang along and jumped around.
These guys put on the most amazing concert I have ever seen. Their live performance sounds as good as recorded. And the lead singer really interacted with the crowd.
They even made up two Texas specific songs.
Just an awesome band all around.
Too many great songs to list here Polo. Just google their most popular songs to start. You will fall in love with this band!!!
And see them live!!!!!

'Grapevine Fires' is also a good track from Death Cab for Cutie. Original video (cartoon)

people can hate on Coldplay all they want, but this song is a masterpiece. it just guts you. [EDIT]: came back because you mentioned liking Death Cab... they are incredible, and worth more of your time. If you like "I Will Follow You Into The Dark," you might like "What Sarah Said" off the same album.

"Amsterdam" off the "A Rush of Blood to the Head" album is one of my fave Coldplay songs. 🙂

This song came on the radio right after losing my brother to a motorcycle accident at age 42; on his way home from work.  The tears did stream down my face as I was singing along thinking of him & feeling him near, knowing he was in a better place & feeling like it was so wrong to lose him that way. There’s no doubt this song helped me through the grieving process & I can’t help but think of him every time I hear it. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt emotions & what this song means to you. God bless 🕊️ ✨

You are so right Polo. This song is astoundingly beautiful!

Just a GREAT track.  Also love The Scientist.

Clocks, in my place, trouble, Viva la Vida.
all bangers my freind

One of my favs of theirs. Partly because my best friend’s husband died, and I really wanted to “fix” her, help her. Just being there for her was the best we could do.

Another gem of COLDPLAY's is 'EVERYTHING'S NOT LOST.'   If you like 'Fix You' you'll love this song!

LOVE Damien Rice!! The Blowers Daughter💜💜💜

‘Tears stream down your face when you lose something you cannot replace’…those lyrics get me every time, and I’ve heard this track thousands of times. Absolutely beautiful and meaningful music.
Great reaction video❤

The entire album with the Scientist on it is great!!
