Man to this day I'm still upset they removed Anathema's chains. I thought it was a great niche item that allowed certain matchups to be bearable without it being too oppressive.

I could never forget Gargoyle Stoneplate, my beloved Veigar last item

3:53 You haven’t experienced real fear until you’ve seen ad Nasus proccing duskblade

@Blurryace.W 4 months ago

13:21 there is a reason wooglets is a prismatic augment

@sovereignelise 4 months ago

6:02 don’t forget you were also contractually obligated to say “spooky ghosties” whenever pressing twin shadows

@minhphan3259 4 months ago

10:49 Actually there was a Frozen Mallet for abilities (which is still kinda in the game), Serylda's Grudge.

A great use for chains was when enemy team had 3AD champs, 1 AP and a support. You can stack full armour and just chain the mage.
Same thing worked the other way around.

spooky ghost still the best thing to have for squishy mages

I'm just mad that they removed Duskblade and reworkes Umbrail Glave instead of otherway around. I hope they maybe can bring it back like they did with Ludens

I genuinely miss anathemas chains. Before riot created the new warmogs and made mundo busted, I would rush it into counter matchups and be able to scale for free. Bonus points for the fact that you will never lose a 1 v 1 again unless jg or mid comes. Its main intended use was also fun. If they had only 1 ap or 1 ad use it on them and build the opposite stat for the rest of the team

Vars forgot to mention the Gargoyles stoneplate and Locket of Iron solari combo back when Locket used to give a shield based on max Hp. Shielding your entire team for the majority of your health bar as a sion/nunu/cho in the late game won fights

"why not giving frozen mallet passive to AD abilities?" Sir thats literally Serylda entire premise, and they had to giga nerf it as well making it apply only on low health targets
AD is a too big of a class with too much diversity to give them an universal slow item

@aaronparry2636 4 months ago

Frozen mallet was actually fine in early seasons when it was melee only and there weren't a billion dashes. It was allowing ranged people to use it (even at a reduced slow) that first caused an issue. Then adding so many dashes to some champions that flash was no longer useful sealed its fate.

Anathemas chains was one for not Say THE STRONGEST item in league that was hidden like serpert's fang. Imagine anathemas in this season Mundo and blitzcrank would be +S tier

I remember building Old Glacial Augment Gnar with frozen mallet and tri force and having a blast watching someone move at 280 ms like the whole match

Holy refresh pull

Regarding twin shadows, with glacial augment you essentially had a you are dead with no counterplay button. On champs like veigar especially who also would take hextech glp, you were dead with basically nothing you could do
