The Countach is probably the perfect example of a car people wanted long before they ever thought about what it was actually like to own. I included it in a Will Talk Cars video about the foreign cars that changed how America saw imports, and that bedroom-poster effect was a huge part of it. Completely impractical, but somehow that almost makes the legend better.

Former Lotus Esprit S4 owner here. There is nothing overly wrong with the car if: A. You upgrade the Renault clutch assembly with a heavier duty clutch pack and bulletproof it. B. Recognize it's a hand built automobile and a work of art. And C. Realize that with very minor tuning mods? You can return the V8 version to its 400hp, no apologies glory.

I liked this vid. BUT: the mashup of pics of the "historic" countach with the modern LPI 800-4 truly is a mess. Pls re-edit this vid and confine the Countach contribution to the classic one.

I bought a 1992 Ferrari 512 TR Testarossa for 100K 20 years ago. I will be doing the major service soon. If I add that to the price + misc. repairs over that period of time I will have 150K invested at the most. This car is now worth 300K Don't agree with your opinion.
