It's a really good start that they're comfortable on you. That'll just make everything easier. They've got a good appetite and want to fly so I think they're doing pretty good. It takes time for you both to develop a routine you both are happy with. They'll train you just as much as you train them.

i got mine yesterday but the place that kept her has her on seed mix, i will transition her gradual and slowly towards pellets, i already gave her vegs/and limited fruits in proportion to his mostly seed mix, pellets arive by tommorow so will slowly introduce it to her in the mornings and put less seeds over time.

i hope she will transition quickly, i also read i can steam carrots for 10 minutes, put it on the pellets after it cooled down and serve it that way so he gets higher interest in it, while i introduce pellets as soft mash, or to put it in sweet potato's, if nothing works ill just mix it in seed mix and gradually decrease seeds while checking his weight

Ha I have a bird and I’ve had him for almost 7-8ish months and he still will not eat his veggies I wish he’d chow down like twig does but he’s also a little cockatiel and he’ll always be my little picky birb but also and more importantly OMG THE NAME TWIG IS SO ****** CUTE I LOVE IT, in general I just love nature themed gender neutral conure names.

Any tips on a 12 year old bird? He’s a rescue (owner deceased) and he’s never warmed up much after the 3 years we’ve had him. Absolutely no petting but he’ll get on you with some food encouragement.

Roudybush is a reputable pellet. My boy was started on them after weaning and i continued him on them. I just also dicovered Lafeber's gourmet pellets for conures. They have fruit in them also.

How did you get yours to let you touch him? I adopted 2 off a breeder yesterday 5 months old both and they are so scared of me!! Today was day 2 and got them to out of my hand! But when I tried to touch them they run away!
