I Built A Deathwatch Army around the Corvus Blackstar (And It Actually Works?)

Due to the ability to hide themselves as not-aircraft with the Hover rule, the Deathwatch Corvus Blackstar has found a home within the Armoured Speartip Space Marine detachment as a heavy transport. This video covers how to use the Crovus Blackstar as your centerpiece unit in a detachment all about transports and provides two army lists for Deathwatch players to make the most of the rules in the Armageddon Campaign Book The Return of Yarrick.

Sadly, GW has changed the rules and Corvus Blackstars can no longer be used as Heavy Transports in this detachment.

Finally, a detachment for my 55 Vets, 2 Blackstar, and 1 land raider army.

I like the idea of the techmarine driving the corvus blackstar just, slightly hovering it next too the repulsor vehicles going "see! Same thing!"

Correct, I do love a Diogenes reference.

Take a shot each time Christian say Corvus Blackstar

This is a castle. And we have many tapestries. But if you are a Heavy Transport then I am Mickey Mouse

Thanks for the clarification on the Land Raider coming from reserves not being able to charge. I see many folks getting excited with essentially 2 Land Raiders (1 w/ Scout 1 in Reserve) coming in turn 1 and annihiliating your army.

I feel like this detachment was created at the gw Xmas party somebody did a line and was like “hear me out we’re gonna put a hellcat motor in a minivan”

There is a way to gain extra CP in Deathwatch, an allied inquisitor gains 1 CP on a 3+ when targeted and can lead intercessors, so can lead fortis kill teams

That's no chicken!
Or....wait....maybe

5:45 the crusader takes 16, which is useful

I was going to comment about sisters getting a 6th detachment and you mentioned it like 15 seconds in lol

So I’m just perusing the deathwatch kill teams, and that’s kinda how the regular space marine primaris squads should be imo.

Fortis is “yo dawg, we heard you like tactical marines, so we made super tactical marines so you can be tactical while you marine”

The indominator one basically shores up the problems with heavy intecessors and aggressors and is the fat bastards version of a tactical squad.

And the Spector is the deadly and secret silent soldiers.

Love to see some love for the Corvus Blackstar.
Ever since getting back into the hobby in 10th Ed. and discovering Deathwatch, I have always wanted to see how something like this could be possible.
Might have to buy one just to own
