Mikey is strong. You can see tears but he keeps talking normally. I've never seen a more clear example or a realer example of how much he meant to him.

The win in July helped us fans. You know Mikey is a good person despite acting a little goofy sometimes.

It still breaks my heart to watch Michael talk about 2001 and see the anguish and pain in his face.
Love you Michael

Dale Sr. would be proud of how his son turned out as a human being and driver. He was really more concerned about how Michael was feeling than his own.I think this is the best interview about racing that I’ve ever seen!

Have Ken Schrader on! Would love to hear a conversation with him.

Man you can tell, even 18 years later it still just destroys Mikey to talk about Dale Sr.

Y'all can't film too much of this kind of videos.  Hell yea we want more

I remember 03 when Mikey won and 04 when Jr. won. I was barely 10 years old and my dad, who was a die-hard Sr. fan, watched every single race, or anything nascar related really. I remember how upset he was when Sr. died and seeing him cry for the first time in my life. When Mikey crossed that finish line in 03, my dad teared up, but when Jr. got it in 04, I thought I was ready to see my dad jump over the moon. Racing means so much more to the fans than just fast cars. My dad passed away in 2008 in an ATV crash doing what he loved just like Sr. did and I can only hope that he finally got to shake hands with the intimidator. We laid him to rest with a couple of his favorite Dale Earnhardt die-cast models just so we knew he'd still get his share of Nascar even after he was gone. Great episode, guys.

is it ok that after all these years I still cry listening to these stories

Dale, Jr what a thoughtful thing to say to Michael about his first Daytona win.  It shows what type of person you are and that’s why you are so loved.  Michael, you have always been one of my favorites and I appreciate you sharing this story and your feelings with us.  I miss seeing both of you on the track, but I’m glad you are still with us and can share your stories.  #8 and #15 forever!

I met Dale Sr. once and will never forget that day. After his passing, I cried for two weeks and still tear up.

I am SO GLAD Mikey followed Jun Bug down there to the infield grass for The July W.
Those two on the cars is such an iconic moment in NASCAR.
Beautiful moment in History.

I’m also VERY GLAD Mikey got his 2nd W @ The Daytona 500 so he could celebrate that time.
Still had to bring back fresh memories of his 1st W, Race #263.

To even just a casual NASCAR fan, this has to be the best thing on YouTube. I could watch this all day. Seriously. This is great conversation and the guests are entertaining as heck. Keep em coming!

Well that took 18 years for us/me hear just what you guys went threw that day. I miss your dad all the time. I can't help cryin' every time I think of Dale. He meant so much to me and many. I love you guys for sharing this with us/me. It meant so much. God love you guys. Dale Earnhardt forever. Shalom and love ya'll, Kevin   "3"

My dad was a big fan. I’m only 11 and I watch old recordings of you and your dad racing.

I would love to listen Dr Jerry Punch tell the story of the time Dale Sr let Dr Punch use his private jet to get home for the birth of his child. Stories like this are not told shows the soft side of the intimidator.

Mikey, you just totally changed my entire opinion on you. You're not goofy at all. Just the complete opposite, deep, smart, thoughtful and obviously a helluva friend. Like to shake your hand some day.

The way Dale fought off the rest of the field like that was incredible to watch still to this day. Just wish he was still here.

The history captured in these podcast is amazing.  Especially from the older drivers he brings in while they can still tell their stories.  This is the best podcast on racing.

I was born in 1993 and I am originally from Rockingham, NC. I remember that race like it was yesterday. It was an overcast, gloomy, and then Dale Jr. wrecked the first lap. I was happy to see Steve Park win that race and then Harvick at Atlanta. After that, I was hooked on racing.
