Kaitlyn is such a left brain thinker 😂
She passed a music course on muscle memory alone haha

The songs are still echoing in my head since yesterday

I think anyone who has sight read music a lot would find this easy. That’s what this reminded me of…many days of violin and flute practice lol

"A chill, cozy game..."
[2 minutes later]
"AAAHHH, this is stress!"

You know, just the usual, chaos filled Evan & Katelyn experience!

you should play Spiritfarer! Its a co-op or single player game about this girl and her cat and they take spirits on their boat and help them to the ends of their lives

50:00 Evan videoing Katelyn stressing over the work one and then immediately dancing was too much for me 😂😂😂

This is just like Rhythm Heaven!!! I loved that game and I would love to play this one 😄

Quaquaversal ADJECTIVE
1. Going off in all directions from the center.
2. (Astronomy) Dipping toward a center in all directions

Anyone else remember Rhythm Heaven?? I played it on the Nintendo DS and I swear this is very very similar. I’d love to see E&K play it!!!

1:50  Has Evan been taking rhythm classes in secret to prank Katelyn??  That was shocking.

E&K: "this is a chill relaxing game"
game: you might wanna rethink that.

Definitely some rhythm clapping practice wound be helpful. As someone who has many years experience with rhythm practice and timing from music etc, here are my tips that help me nail timing: 1. Count out loud! Once you know the time signature (e.g 4/4 is beats of four, 3/4 would be a waltz, 6/8 would be two triplets (literally say the word triplet like tri-pl-et) you can start counting along.
2. The in between beats - not just 1, 2, 3, 4, but 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &. HUGE difference in timing, especially when an entry is off beat or syncopated (the really tough one!). If 1 you have 4 beats a cycle, and each beat is divided not in halves but by 4, then you can say 1-e-&-a 2-e-&-a 3-e-&-a 4-e-&-a
3. It seems to sometimes be a call & reply pattern -that is, they first demonstrate the rhythm one or two bars (so 1-2 full 4 beat cycles) prior to expecting you to reply with the same pattern (which lines up with the percussion for help).
4. If you are clapping along as practice to a rhythm, don’t do a full big applause clap as you will tire too quickly. Instead, only tap your finger tips in your palms so you can more readily pick up speed.
5. Listen to the bass. It will almost always lead the direction of the beat. & indicate even when there might be changes in timing.
6. Pearce sometimes doing two overlapping/conflicting rhythms. First start with one, then practice the second, then put together.
7. If you are interested in just getting better at rhythm in general, learn how to at least read basic rhythmic notation (not pitch). The main hitters are whole notes (hold for 4), half notes (hold for two), quarter notes (hold for one), eighth notes (hold for 1/2 “&”), sixteenth notes (hold for 1/4 “e”). Also learn their REST counterparts. I recommend this as it will not only help you visualize in your brain what’s happening.

7. There are “sight reading” rhythm books out there. For daily practice, you’d pick a little sample rhythm, take 20-30 seconds to skim it over, then go for it! You could also practice ear by listening to a tune and couple times, then pausing & replicating yourself. I’d recommend recording yourself as you can see better afterwards where you made mistakes.

Ok! Sorry for the music dump! If you are more interested in learning about basic music theory let me know! Never too late to learn. Although a large part of it is just practice. All the best. :)

My music teacher made us play this game and it was so great and fun , it's honestly nostalgic watching this

I thought I was gonna slay this game cause I play in a band and have over 20 years of experience in music, never had a problem with staying on the beat. Let me tell you this game is more difficult than it looks!

I love these sort of games so happy you played one ! 😁😊

i was advertising your channel on Bob Ross's youtube channel livestream this morning. They showed the recordings that you guys used for your fun recreations.

Haha, i started grabbing my pencil and playing along! (my homework remains undone, but my longing to play this game has increased)
much love :3

I love how in the gaming one he has ps4, ps5 and Xbox one series x

As a little Rythim fan, i loved this! I started shaking my leg to the beat, why? Cause that’s what i do
I got in my fluffy blanket and let the music scratch my brain!

You guys should play rhythm heaven I think you will like it
