9:55 idk I'll think about it. It would ruin my 8DX reputation if I start collecting. (pls Nintendo... no coin item this time)

1:47 THAT is what pure emotion sounds like

10:40 That "thanks Nintendo" after so many sarcastic "thanks Nintendo"s felt genuinely exciting

Shortcat 8 retires.

Shortcat 9 is here.

3:20 I think the issue with the "Wii U" is that the name didn't properly signify that it was a brand new flagship console. It just kind of sounds like a side-grade, like a switch lite, or switch OLED or 2DS.

"Switch 2" makes it very clear that this is a direct sequel console to the old one, so I don't think it'll suffer the same problem. Not to mention it's been almost 10 years since we've had a new flagship Nintendo console, so the hype around a new console being released is unlikely to be missed.

7:31 He forgot Luigi :(

7:08 wow, that Luigi disrespect. My guy can't catch a break!

4:15 “If we take a look at Mario’s design, his cheeks are wider.”

What did they do to my boy donkey Kong 😭😭🙏

Mario Kart Horizon!

Clearly this is inspired by Forza Horizon's open-world gameplay. The trailer is showing a cross-country race.

3:25
The problem with the Wii U was that people thought it was an accessory lol, so calling it the switch 2 creates no confusion

1:48 The inner obsession of Mario kart came out

my guy ignored luigi💀

1:46 "Let's go, Nintendo Switch 2- MARIOKART!!!!" 😂😂😂😂

If you pause at this frame 9:03, you can see a mountain in the distance that has road around it, but it suddenly ends. This not only could mean that gliders are a thing in this game, but also anti-gravity! I'm so excited for this game already!!

1:48 first shortcat manly yell

I'm not too surprised the item set in the trailer didn't have a double; assuming that's still the beginning of the track, 95 of 96 tracks in 8 Deluxe's first item set is all singles and Dragon Driftway just felt like being special. Especially with coins also returning I fully expect double items to as well

Anyone else getting this recommended in 2026??

It’s actually crazy to think about that Shortcat will soon need a playlist for Mario Kart 9 that is separate from all of his other MK8 videos! So exciting!!
