Day 31 of our travels — and today was a special one because it was my birthday 🎂🇨🇭

We travelled from *Bern to Lucerne* before taking on one of Switzerland’s most famous mountain experiences — the **Mount Pilatus Golden Round Trip**.

The Golden Round Trip combines several different ways of travelling around Mount Pilatus, including a boat journey across Lake Lucerne, the famous cogwheel railway up the mountain, and the cable cars and panoramic gondolas on the other side.

We headed up to **Pilatus Kulm**, spent time exploring the summit and taking in the incredible views across the Swiss Alps before continuing the journey back towards Lucerne.

Not a bad way to spend a birthday 😁

Switzerland had already given us some unforgettable days, but celebrating my birthday at over 2,000 metres in the mountains definitely made this one a little different.
