I always find it amusing that many Americans, upon smelling and tasting Prawn Cocktail crisps for the first time, are so convinced that they can smell and taste the fishy "shrimp", when it's actually based on the (Marie Rose) sauce used in British Prawn Cocktails and doesn't contain any fishy tasting ingredients (predominantly Ketchup and Mayo). Amazing how much the expectation can effect the experience. I've seen the same phenomenon with Americans trying Bourbon biscuits for the first time and insisting that they can taste the Alcohol, when Bourbon biscuits don't have anything to do with Bourbon Whiskey.
Could someone explain the difference between eating an Oreo cookie and cardboard? - Apart from the fact the cardboard is cheaper, slightly tastier and has fewer artificial ingredients in?
