MOW TIME REVIEWS IS BACK for another product review, and this time I will let you know my opinion on the STIHL HLA 66 long-reach hedge trimmer.

Been using stihl battery hedge trimmers for a few years now and they have been great.

Let me know in the comments your favourite hedge trimmer and why.

'it's a great day for a hedge trim'.

I have had one of these for the last three years. It is my go to hedge trimmer. It does everything and is light weight. I have five other Stihl hedge trimmers but if I have to choose one, this would be it. Compared to my HSA 100 the driveline is noisy but apart from that I love it. For me, the lightness is everything. I use the now obsolete AP 100 batteries which are light and last 30-40 minutes of constant use. Either way, this is the best machine I have.

The AP battery range is intended for professional use and is therefore very expensive for the domestic user. The AK battery range is better suited.

That’s a nice unit. I looked at it, but it seemed a bit heavy to me, especially with the motor on the cutting end and the battery onboard. I’ve been using the KMA 130R kombi system and I’ve been loving it. Carrying the battery on a harness has worked pretty well for me making the machine much lighter. Anyway, thanks for the review!

Hope it's better than my 86 , just picked it up from the dealers after a 5th fault in a year 😡, 3rd motor 2nd Bowden cable and new motor housing

Will this hedge trimmer cut grass and brush? I saw a guy use a Stihl with a hedge trimmer attachment and he used it to trim grass, weeds and brush on his property and around fence posts. What is nice is that the hedge trimmer will not damage wood posts but a string trimmer will.
