The fact that we have to actually point out, spell out, and highlight that Ace was NOT, repeat NOT, on some Epstien shit to get the message across to people is crazy.

Fun fact Buttercup only spoke once in the episode so she mostly was communicating through her actions which was nice

There was no romance, but i think the episode was a metaphor for where it COULD wind up going

It’s crazy cause even as a child I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable with how Ace was manipulating Buttercup. Like nooooo get away from her 🏃🏾‍♂️🚪

Ace was in Gorillaz BTW

It's crazy looking back at this episode, and it really proves how dangerous it can be when a child develops a crush on either a teenager or an adult—being taken advantage of and being tricked like how Ace did to Buttercup in this episode.

Mess with my heart, mess with my mind, but mess with my sisters will cost you your life

BARS

The professor looked like he was going to pack a green body

Not gonna lie it is shocking to see buttercup smitten.

Remember The Gang Green Gang got Jumped by Mojo, HIM & Fuzzy once

I felt SO uncomfortable that’s ENTIRE episode. Even as a really young kid

At least they made sure that it was Buttercup who had a crush on Ace and not the other way round 💀😂

Buttercup has big emotions... but that does not mean they are smart emotions.

I can somewhat understand Buttercup's crush on Ace

Its literally just a bad boy appeal thing, she probably never experienced a actual crush like this so she was inexperienced on how to handle it either, and no one can say they never had a crush on a "bad boy", like a fictional one or something (also i feel like Ace would be a tumblr sexyman but who knows tbh)

Plus, Ace is like the "cool guy", and she seemed to like how "cool" and "tough" he was, but i'm not trying to assume much due to Buttercup's age and everything

Also, i thought Ace was WAY older, he is 17-18? Still creepy (thank god he didn't reciprocate tho) but ig i can see how he is a older teen and when you're little you think they're super cool and everything

Basically, Buttercup i feel like fell for Ace's "cool","chill", and "lawless" behavior, and could of maybe saw herself in him with his more chaotic attitude and to add in my own hc and theory on her crush:

Buttercup maybe saw her own care for her siblings in Ace, when Ace lied and said Snake didn't know what he was doing and was seemingly defending his fellow gangmember, Buttercup probably saw herself in that and related to it

And, when Ace was acting like the victim in the second encounter, it played with Buttercup's empathy more, making her mistake his atitude as care for his friends like how she cares for her sisters

that's my interpretation anyway, i forgot about this episode

@7:27 how the professor ain't hearing that is beyond me chyleee

4:42 THAT'S HIM, OFFICER! JAIL HIM!

I'm still surprised Toonz hasn't covered powerpuff girls Z

1:26 BOOM, 1 point! BOOM, 2 points!

I felt so uncomfortable with ace like he basically using a kindergarten girls crush on him to manipulate her. It’s just so weird and creepy.

Buttercup: "I'm sorry"
