"GILIW" means someone you loved. In other words your dear, beloved, darling etc. Pilipino fan here.☺️😍

The translation literally cut out a portion of the song's feelings hahaha but okay. It's not "You are just mine," but more like a begging way. It translates to "Please be mine," or "Won't you be me mine?"
And it's not "The one who prays will always be begging," but rather it's a continued clause from the upper line so it goes "'Akin ka na lang' ang dinarasal sa araw-araw," which should translate to "'Please be mine' is what I pray for everyday," wherein the "Please be mine" is a quoted clause turned into a subject.
"At maghihintay hanggang akin ka na," means "I'll be waiting until you become mine."
"Makiki-usap na lang, akin ka na lang, Giliw," also translates to
"I'm begging you, please be mine, darling."
That's basically all you need translated as those are the lines that repeat for like 80% of the song. It's Morisette's heart-ful rendition that gives a deeper meaning to the song. You can hear a woman who has been left with nothing else to say but ask someone to be hers. That's all she keeps saying because she wants and needs that person badly. Morisette does a great storytelling of it.

React to her cover of Mariah Carey's "Fly Like a Bird". Her personality really comes out in this cover...

i go back to this reaction every now and then because as you said, "we need to listen to good things in this life." too bad i can't add more likes as much as i add views.

Unofficial tally count for "Never Enough" 👇

Pls.react mori cover NEVER ENOUGH
AND SHE USED TO BE MINE.

That Google translation is bad. The title of the song in English is “Please Be Mine”. The translation was so bad and it reads like a stalker song LOL! Please do “Fly Like A Bird” by Morissette next! Highly recommended! It’s a joy listening to that one.

Fantastic girl 😍😍😍😘

Great reaction and analysis may be this should be an addition to any voice class.

fly like a bird, rise up, defying gravity, etc. etc. thnx

The lyrics you read off were a HORRIBLE translation. The lyrics on the video itself were much better. For what you read, it sounds like Google had seizures while it worked on a math problem.

Much as i'm struck with awe and admiration for morissette's singing talent and exceptional voice, im just as amazed and amused with everyone's reaction to every rendition of her songs ive watch on a number of channels out there. At first i was browsing to watch and listen like every admirer or critic does, now im doing it out of curiosity on how reactors react, believe me they are just as entertaining, surprised reactors surprises and amuses me just as much.

i loveyou maggie!!! im from d" Philippines!!!

You’re awesome!  Love your aura!

Her cover of “Never Enough” is amazing

Even though the song is in Tagalog, its impact and beauty  is discernable universally. Morissette's  awesome natural talent, coupled with her vast knowledge of vocal techniques, plus her artistry in choosing the colorations in achieving maximum performance impact, creates the perfect storm of vocal greatness!

One of the best singer in the Philippines Ms Morissette

You are so vibrant . I love it!  You give life to those who need it. :)

Wont be able to sleep fast,  but if....should dream on the whistle tone song !!!
