In the commentary for this episode they talk about how it was rushed in only 4-5 days as they struggled to think of anything they had the idea of a "woodland critter christmas" but it felt to cutsie for south park so they didn't want to do it, but someone said two words "blood orgy" and they knew what to do then.

I absolutely love people's reactions when the tone pulls a 180 and the critters shout, "Hail Satan!".

For me, the way that Hobbs almost misses the "Hail Satan!" reveal at first and he has the EXACT same reaction as Stan ("WHAT!?!") as Devin completely loses it (almost as if he'd forgotten Hobbs DIDN'T know what was coming) is my favourite reaction to this twist yet.

"They're animals!?"
"They're woodland critters."

Yeah! Totally.

He said nobody wanna be in the woods singing and shit😂

Seeing peoples reaction to the twist never gets old.

This is when an exhausted Matt and Trey look at each other after days of no ideas and just say "blood orgy?"
No seriously, that's what happened.

This whole episode is basically showcasing how dark and twisted Cartman's mind is

@zsoper8360 2 years ago

In a later episode Stan outright summons satan to get an explanation on how addiction works meaning if not for the reveal that it’s a story Cartman came up with, Stan probably could have gotten satan to call off the Christmas critter birthing if he asked nicely.

@SubZeroJill 2 years ago

Gotta give props to Cartman's sweet, holiday bars... like.. that was a LOT of rhyming! XD

He hauls tons of gifts around the world, it makes sense for Santa to stay strapped

The best part is how every character is in character. 😭😭 I can definitely see everyone saying and doing what they did in this story.

Those woodland critters are better in South Park than in Disney.😂

CHRISTMAS TIME IS ONCE A YEAR

For Me The Thing i Always Remember About This Ep, is The "Christmas Time is Once a Year" Because it Plays at THAT VERY VERY Specific Moment in The Stick of Truth.
