Say it every time, but Gorilla and Jesse are so good together, make everything watchable

My favourite part of this match is when they have the wide shot of Jake’s entrance at 2:59, you can see Andre casually taking off the turnbuckle pad while everyone else, including the announcers, was watching Jake. And then Gorilla and Jesse were astonished to see no pad when Andre rammed Jake into the buckle.

Every one of Jake's fueds in WWF were on another level. Starting with Steamboat getting DDT'd on the floor, Honky Tonk Man hitting him with the guitar, Rick Rude and Cheryl Roberts, Andre being afraid of Snakes, stealing the Million Dollar Belt from Ted Dibiase, Rick Martel blinding him and the subsequent blindfold match, Earthquake squashing Damian, the buried alive and snake bite angle with Warrior, Savage and the Cobra bite, pretty much his entire run was loaded with amazing angles. Truly one of the best.

I think we can all agree that 1989 was a GREAT year to be a wrestling fan. The NWA had Ric Flair/Ricky Steamboat and over in the WWF/WWE we had Macho Man Randy Savage/Hulk Hogan.

Love this era the start of the classic Jake vs Dibiase feud

Wait a minute Big John Studd was the original theme song of Hacksaw Jim Duggan I’m in shocked

Ventura - "why is Andre disqualified?" Maybe for attacking the ref Jesse.

Could we get more WrestleMania 5 matches?? I just wanna hear the commentary of Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura. They were hilarious and two of the best..

I love debating these old matches, it makes me feel like a kid again, talking about the outcomes, how the matches may have ended with another set of circumstances. How we felt they should have gone. Then as we got older, how the storyline went, how they could have worked the match differently. I miss having a friend or friends to talk about this stuff with.

No one ever even til this day had better entrance music than Jake

big john studd vs zeus in 1989 would of been good and to have big john studd and hacksaw jim duggan tag team champions vs demoliton

I have seen the first referee who is stepping over the top rope. This is WWF ERA

"Woah, and look at that, there's no turnbuckle pad!"
"What happen to it?"

Jake Roberts...one of the best ever and one of my all time fav!

Big John Studd is the only Wrestler to go from winning the Royal Rumble to being a referee at Wrestlemania. No title match, no main event, no WM moment for BJS. The quickest fall from grace ever

In the late 80's and early 90's wrestling was the best at that time compared to today.

07:13 check out Andre's surprised reaction.

BJS music was refurbished into Hacksaw Jim Duggans a few years later

Hoping they eventually upload the old school Survivor Series 89 and 90 showdowns!  Those were never on WWE Network.

Royal Rumble Winner 1989
Big John Studd 😊
