I swear our brains are synced, you always end up making a video on whatever my work revolves around at the time lol. Writing this as I’m using Ruby to create a prototype script.

Always has a place in my heart as it got me my first Job, pay check and pays my bills to this day. Forever grateful to Matz and DHH

ruby is also really good for writing custom "languages"/DSLs (like the example you showed with RoR), because it basically lets you create completely new language keywords within your code. another notable and very popular project is fastlane for mobile app CI/CD, which is also its own DSL basically

I've  been a Rails dev for more than half a decade, and I gotta say, ruby is seriously always a pleasure to write!

It really is beautyful. Laravel took some ideas from ruby's ecosystème but still (readability, expressiveness, cleverness,...) it feels like ruby comes from the future.

I guess the author too took some ideas from other languages.

Tbh, I LOVE Ruby, I was learning it a few years ago and it's really sweet, but never actually used it in real stuff

With Axalem's support, I can easily maintain that flow state when working on Ruby projects.
