At 60,000 km, I perform a major service on the Dacia Bigster Hybrid 155, including the engine oil, all filters, and a preventive fluid change on the E-Tech multimodal gearbox.
To take this technical project further, I collected samples from both the engine and gearbox oils and delivered them directly to the laboratory in Poznań for detailed analysis (viscosity, fuel dilution, and wear metals).

That was a very reasonable price. That dealer deserves your loyalty, particularly as they allowed you to film and take oil samples. You know they did the work properly because you filmed them doing it for your own use and our information. Thank you and thanks to them.

La primul comentariu, unul dintre primii urmaritori ai tai. M-ai convins, pe 15 octombrie ridic noua mea masina, Bigster 1.8 Hybrid 155, varianta Extreme, full fara trapa 😂, culoare alb.
Voi incerca imposibilul, sa te ajung din urma in urmatorii 2..3 ani.
Masina va fi folosita in regim ridesharing Bucuresti + calatorii lungi prin tara si Europa. Kilometraj lunar: 9-10k km.
Sper sa fie o alegere buna. Keep in touch!

I can see that oil drain and refill is about the same on DB1(older) and your GB (newer). What is interesting is that you have 3 motors - stators adjusting the gears while I have only two (Continental module). I think they are the reason you hear some sound at 53km/h and this will never be go away.

Engine oil test guess: 26% reduced viscosity in 40 C degrees. 17% reduced in 100%. If you were to ride more in city traffic I would say 50 to 25 for same range of temp. Oil is quite dirty, but it does the job by cleaning the engine from petrol combustion leftovers.

Regarding the gearbox oil: I would say that this one looks far worse than I expected. But looks can be deceiving. It looks as if it carries slight amount of metalic material from the bearings of gearbox. I would say that lab will confirm steel particles at some level of contamination. I would guess that it is about 80-85% good (15-20% wear in comparison to brand new oil).

Thanks for the images with the oil comparisons Cristian. 👍🙏This is confirming more than enough mine and other reasonable people's assumption that the carmakers oil interval changing is not ok. I am very, very curious to se the laboratory analysis results. Until than, I'm very surprised to see that enormous oil color changes, even after a very shorter interval than the carmaker say in the car maintenance instruction. Nobody have ever (not publicly and neutrally) done this experiment, EVER! So many congratulations and thanks to you for doing this 🙏. We, car entuziast, and some off us with some car and general mechanical knowledge, have always had big doubts about those oil change intervals, but now we can get a first laboratory analizez on that. It's hard to say which interval is the optimal one, without a professional analysis, but the one the carmakers gives us, is not the one. 👎

projet intéressant concernant ce test à long terme sur ce Bigster . Je sais que chez Renault /Dacia , les boites à crabots ont connu des problèmes , voir des casses de boites de vitesses . Bonne idée d'envoyer les échantillons d'huile pour une analyse en laboratoire . Je suis surpris de la différence de tarif en Euro entre la France et la Roumanie concernant les entretiens chez un concessionnaire Dacia en plus , en France , il faut multiplier par 2 et encore ! je roule en Dacia Duster 1.6 Sce 115 ( essence ) de 2017 ( en occasion ) cela fait 3 ans maintenant , il n'a que 70 000 km , j'en suis content , ma prochaine , toujours en Dacia , certainement en GPL , car en France vu l'envolé des tarifs carburant , le GPL reste bien en deçà du Diesel et de l'essence , soit un Duster GPL ou Sandero ..ah oui , ma femme roule en Sandero 1.4 75 ch GPL la voiture à 190 000 km ( de 2010 ) et aucun problème mécanique grave ...nous somme une famille Dacia ! 😉🤙...Amitiés de France , Normandie 😉

Complimenti stai facendo una analisi scientifica accurata. Sono d'accordo con te: cambio olio e filtro olio motore ogni 10.000 km. Ottimo anche il cambio olio trasmissione, non esiste un fluido lubrificante a vita...

3:51 that means that intakes are poorly placed! Where do you drive it usually?
That's exactly what separates better brands from Dacia.
On my Fiat Bravo 2.0 multijet intake for air is above the wheel arch! Filter always comes without any debris on 15000km changes.

Can't keep up with your rate of adding miles. 43.000 km on my MG now. 4th oil change approaching, and 2nd oil change for the gearbox. The oil I drained from the gearbox looked like new. No significant fuel dilution issues on the engine oil, and no oil consumption either. I did an early oil change at 1500 km, and a first gear oil change at 18,000 km to get rid of potential break-in swarf.

Sunt curios dacă motorul termic al Daciei Hybrid folosește un shimbător de căldură dintre gazele de evacuare și lichidul de răcire pentru a contribui la încăzirea rapidă a motorului termic în periodele reci ale anului. Am observat că la Dacia Jogger motorul termic se încălzește foarte repede iarna, judecând după faptul că bagă căldură doar după primele 200 de metri parcurși și după indicatorul de temperatură. La Toyota Prius era un astfel de schimbător de căldură (Exhaust Heat Recuperator) montat în toba de mijloc și care avea prostul obicei să cedeze din cauza temperaturilor mari ale gazelor de evacuare. Un mecanic mi-a propus să dau ”delete” la sistem, făcând un simplu bypass pe care toți proprietarii de Prius îl fac ca să nu dea 1500 euo pe componenta originală. Oare Dacia folosește un altfel de sistem? Nu am avut ocazia să inspectez mașina pe dedsubt în niciuna din vizitele în service (la București nu e permis așa ceva :)) )
