Freddie became very emotional and montsy spotted it and held his hand  because  freddie knew this was his last stage performance

This was the pinnacle of his career and his dream come true.  Thank you for sharing your joy in Freddie's performance

It's the emotion behind every note that makes this.

I have read somewhere that she saw him tear up towards the end - and offered her hand - and he grabbed it - and didn't let I go again - that was just what he needed to handle the fact that it was one of the last times that he could perform in public.

Freddie  Mercury  ( and Queen) NEVER  fail to  amaze  me.

I’ve read that Freddie’s voice was compared to having the force of a hurricane- 💛

Montserrat’s niece who shares the same name said “For Freddie, Montserrat was something out of this world.  He had such love and admiration for her, he was always watching to make sure everything was perfect for her.  When we arrived at the hotel, there were roses in every room, we wanted for nothing.”  🌸  Montsy commented in an interview following Freddie’s death ... “He told me he would have liked to have sung the aria from the Phantom Of The Opera and I told him I would record it — and I recorded it in the studio for him.”

John Deacon on the bass. This song is beautiful beyond words.

The most beautiful song from him and Montsarrat !His writing abilities were superb as was his voice.LEGEND!💥💥💥💥🌟

It's amazing that you can notice all the hidden musical elements. I am a classical musician, and I love to discover with you Freddie's genius and his exceptional vocal qualities. Not only is he the greatest rock singer of all time, no matter who tries to imitate him, but he has an aura and dimension that brings him close to the greatest classical masters. You are the greatest reactor and the most sensitive. Bravo!

I listen to this song, and tears come every time.

He was a monster and she was one of the best opera singers of all time. With this it is all said

I feel that this song and 'In My Defense' are Freddie's two most personal and autobiographical songs.

I'm pretty sure when he wrote this, he was thinking about his diagnosis and the prospect of losing his life, his voice, and Jim... it shows how much pain and desolation he was suffering, and how alone he felt 😢😭

To hear and watch his reaction, says it all
about Freddie's extreme talent and stage presence.

He could sing anything!  He never gave up! Great song Monserrat loved him. He always wanted to sing with her! 🥰🌹🎤❤️

The lovely Montserrat could hold a note for 22 seconds ❤❤❤❤

Their friendship was amazing. Freddie called her his ROCK STAR, she called him the greatest talent, with a God given voice, and the kindest man she ever knew..She said only 2 men have given her goosebumps singing , and Freddie was one of them.
One of her Arias played at his funeral, and she was present for the unveiling of his statue in Switzerland. Two amazing voices singing now in the heavens!  RIP Freddie and Montsy (as Freddie called her).

I do not know how many times I have watched your reaction to this!   This was a fantastic combination of the two, and they produced even greater music.  They were in such admiration of each other and the friendship was great.  Thanks again for all the reactions!

There is an interview with Freddie and Monsterrat where Freddie talks about how excited he was when he finally had her voice on tape and it was now "Real". They made music together, his dream was realized.

Everyone should have someone who looks at them like she looked at him....
