My Response to the Kirk Cameron Controversy

Ken Ham

You may have recently seen a video posted by Kirk Cameron where he shares his new views on hell. Today, I respond by quoting some of the great Christian scholars of the past, whom I trust because of their stand on the infallibility of God’s Word beginning in Genesis.

Kirk is a long time friend of our ministry and a personal friend and we do highly respect and love him but respectfully disagree on this particular matter

The wages of sin is DEATH but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. This is the biblical message all through the Bible.

Every time I hear someone say “I feel like”, I no longer consider what they’re saying

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Mark 9:44: “Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” (says Jesus)

God's word doesn't change but people's knowledge and understanding changes

Being separated from our creator for eternity, in my eyes is eternal torment and punishment.

Ken Ham is so refreshing to listen to, and is always a beacon of light and hope, with his teachings of scripture.

Feellings are irrelevant & have no place in interpretation of the Bible

People have forgotten that the Angels sing Holy, Holy, Holy
A Holy God is who we serve.

I wish you had focused more on the Scriptural basis rather than quoting one verse and presenting the positions of various confessions and theologians. The historical understanding is important but only to the extent that it conforms with Scripture
