You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." I Cor. 1:18 KJV

It amazes me that people who have not read the Bible are so knowledgeable of its contents.

my sheep hear my voice and they follow me and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish

Proverbs 3:7 "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil"

This is what a hardened heart looks like.

This is such an easy thing to answer. Bring up 4 newspapers from any event. Those 4 news papers will have "contradicting'" details.

I'm a historian. I can tell you that if you research any historical event, there will be different versions of it. Some of the graduate school work we do involves exercises on events that have many different sides to them, and we would debate them in seminar classes, but, as Frank said, that doesn't make it untrue; it just means there's different perspectives of it. As for Rachel, she's hardened her heart and doesn't want it to be true. She was never a Christian. As the Apostle John said, those that went out from us were never one of us. We can only pray the Holy Spirit gives her a heart of flesh.

The New Testament wasn’t one author writing a book series. It’s a collection of independent letters and accounts written by different authors, only later gathered into a canon.

You can't leave something you never belonged to.

She doesn't want the Bible to be true and seeks reasons to disbelieve.

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

She doesn't want the truth
She wants to be a critic not a Christian

4:55 some people dont have a mind problem, its a heart issue. Only the Holy Spirit can fix that. Good luck lady.

Love the genuine prayer at the end! Keeping it centered on Jesus and we ALL need him!

when you are determined not to believe, you will not believe.

8:57 "that's gibberish" actually means "if I don't immediately understand something than it's either means nothing, it's false or dumb" Lady, how prideful must you be in order to hear a claim, not at all understand it, and than instead of asking for clarification calling it gibberish. That's crazy.

I wish more would question like this because I feel this debate helps faith. The preacher didn’t get angry nor dismiss her.  This was healthy.

Thank you for praying for Rachel, my heart was breaking for her, so I pray with you and finish this comment with Amen!

The contradictions are why I became a Christian.    If you ask three people at a car accident they will all have different information.
