The Ibanez MDM1600 and MDM1606 are modern jazz basses built for players who want a versatile active setup with a fast, contemporary feel. Both models feature a roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24 medium frets and active electronics with Bass, Middle and Treble controls plus EQ bypass. The MDM1600 is a 4-string with Delta S4J humbuckers, while the MDM1606 features two Delta S6J pickups and a 20" fingerboard radius for its six-string configuration.

I recently bought the same 6 string MDM model...Phantastic bass for sure...The wood and paint work on the body is not high end , but I dont care..The neck is well made , I had to invest 1 hour , to finish the fretwork , maybe caused by to much heat and a lightly shrunken neck...playbility is great , I mean , its a 6 string , you have to work harder to play accurate for sure...Soundwise its a killer..I guess , even a 7000 Euro bass wouldnt sound better to my ears...Pickups are great as well as the preamp , which is offering you everything a bass player would ever need ..All in all its a wonderful instrument and worth the price much more , than many others in this 1500 Euro segment. ..It comes with a simple gig bag....A soft case would have been nice but I know..times are hard and inflation kicks in...
