This is how I learned I was ALSO using the wrong spool holder 🤦‍♀️

I never thought about the lay-on of my thread in the spool. Wow! Thank you!

I thought I would surely lose my mind from my thread breaking. I cleaned, oiled, changed my needle, removed the bobbin and hook assembly again after cleaning and oiling, seating it multiple times…and then you spoke about checking to make sure the thread was properly on the spindle. I was shocked to see a tiny little sticker from the bottom of my Aurifil spool was putting just enough drag on the thread to beak it. Thank you!!! From Buffalo NY.❤🧵😊

After many years of being unable to sew with my machine (others had no problem using it), I gave it away. Eventually bought a new machine (I REALLY want to be able to sew!) same problem. We live in a rural area and I've searched repeatedly and unsuccessfully for someone to teach me what I might be doing wrong (and go over the basics like you do) for years. Even called the local quilting shop that advertised lessons-- they "didn't know my machine" but were quite willing to sell me one they knew and could teach me to use!

Thank you! I’m one of the few that jacked up the plate cause I tend to do a lot of panic sewing 🤦🏼‍♀️ Took a look and I clearly dinged in the same spot a few times 😵‍💫
Mind you this is after much crying, taking my whole dang machine apart, cleaning the heck out of it … oh well, poor old gal needed it anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️🩷

Also check to see that the thread is not wrapping around the spool holder

When I have this problem first thing I do is cut the thread and pull it out .Then I rethread paying close attention of how the thread feels as I pull it threw and thread the needle. If it breaks right away again, I change the needle. Usually solves it for me.

heck even mine keeping breaking even if I tension it I clean it and worse of them all it doesn't stitch it skips part of it and worse I also brought a possibly quality needle that bend
