This has to be the most well balanced channel out there in my opinion. I’ll explain, you shoot, you train and you show us. You speak facts about the tools being used without putting us to sleep with endless information which don’t get me wrong I do appreciate from other channels but sometimes I zone out. You don’t lie about or exaggerate a particular tool or accessory which I appreciate. And the cadence and flow of everything is just right for a solid well put together “gun tuber” Channel. So, Thanks broski
2:13-4:13 = FACTS! I’ve never heard anyone talk about this. People think because they can hit targets out to 800 meters on a flat range with high contrast targets that aren’t moving with no return fire think they can do that in the real world. It’s much less forgiving IRL
This is a great video. Nice work. I’m fairly new to shooting and have been watching a lot of gun tubers. I really enjoy your videos because you’re very detailed on showing the pros and cons of things. You have a common sense approach that others do not. I’m older and not as strong as I used to be plus I can’t see like I used too. My 3-15 Razor weighs about the same as a eotech and 3 or 5x magnifier but has the huge magnification advantage allowing me to see my hits and misses at distance. The other thing not challenged is the fact that most gun battles have been within 2-300 yards. Maybe it’s because they didn’t have more lpvo’s then. Congratulations on your weight loss. It really shows in your videos.
Very informative, you seem like a person who knows what they're talking about, no bs, straight to the point with intention of helping/informing others.
Great video! Thank you for the depth and detail of these setups and what can and cannot do.
Lately one of my favorite compromises instead a red dot/magnifier combo is a Vortex Spitfire II HD 5x prism mounted as low as I can get it, with a Holosun red dot on a Mk2 2.26” mount from Arisaka in front of it. The 5x can see right through the mount, and now I don’t have to flip a magnifier around or deal with it hanging off the side, and I get nice tight cheek weld for longer shots. Additionally, the prism gives me more useful information like BDC and wind holds, which is much more useful than a magnifier. The Holosun at 2.26” gives excellent heads up visibility without being too high, that 65 MOA circle dot reticle provides super fast, intuitive holds for 5 yd, 7 yd, and 10 yd when zeroed for 50 yds. This setup works so well for me that I run it on both my SuperDuty 11.5” and my DDM4 16”.
I am also building a 6mm ARC Recce rifle with an MPVO and piggybacked red dot for longer distance, but for anything inside 200 yds this combo works really well for me.
I love hearing more real world use stories. Because everyone believes it can’t happen to them right until it does. And America should remember that mindset because it extends far beyond 2A and guns. Awesome vid.
Great video. This is the kind of content that we need. There’s so many options for optics and gear that we really need these comparisons that are backed by real world evidence.
First time finding your channel and props on some great education and content! Couldn’t agree more on the importance of gauging your own use case. Personally, for GPR I’ve decided to run an LPVO with piggy back RDO. However, it’s not my go to rifle if I’m honest. An 11.5” set up for 200 meters and in is my main squeeze rifle, followed by an SPR set up to own distance. No one can do it all with one set up. May experiment with an LPVO set up on the 11.5” after this video, but again it’s gotta fit my use case. On the realistic side of things and understanding I’m not Delta or Ranger Batt assaulting a target, that rifle is for home defense, evasion, or unavoidable engagement. So we’ll see, but great food for thought!
Really Appreciate this video. I’m going to do a truly bastardized build for a 6mm ARC AR-Pistol. Needed this breakdown to help me with the optic choice. Also appreciate “Hvitserk’s choice” playing in the background! 🔥
Nice to find someone I can agree with. Love the punches at Trench. I don’t think trench has any experience other than flat range or what he’s learned through military training
Optics Choice. MPVO vs. LPVO vs. Prism vs. Red Dot/Magnifier
